to think cat owners should clear up cat shit in little plastic bags

PaWithABra · 07/05/2011 01:37

like dog owners do ?

every spring i clear the flower beds and every spring the neighbourhood cats take this as a signal to use it as their toilet.

dirty bastards. I know i should blame the owners for not providing them with a litter tray but AIBU to think an air rife and some slugs might be the quckest way to end this menace?

OP posts:
AgentZigzag · 07/05/2011 01:41

hehe yeah, course they should Grin

Oh, you're being serious.

It's the air rifle that gives it away that you're a twat.

You should have left that bit out and kept posters guessing.

FurKnickersAndNoCoat · 07/05/2011 01:43

as with the horses, scoop it up and put it on your roses Grin

FurKnickersAndNoCoat · 07/05/2011 01:43

add some giant african land snail poo and you got yourself a prize winner at the summer fete

charmed185 · 07/05/2011 01:47

or just kill the cat :) i so need to go to bed, but -im bored- not tired :)

charmed185 · 07/05/2011 01:48

sorry am also practising.... how do i link?

VajazzHands · 07/05/2011 01:50

you're a cock. And unreasonable.

AgentZigzag · 07/05/2011 01:54

D'y'think I technically called the OP a twat there vajazz?

I was working on being a bit more aggressive assertive to get my first deleted post.

Could be classed as telling the truth and let go if MNHQ agreed with me?

That is if the OP can be arsed to report.

I'll be disappointed if they don't, with all the effort I put in and all.

FurKnickersAndNoCoat · 07/05/2011 01:57

[said giant african land snail poo and got no response sad face emoticon]

AgentZigzag · 07/05/2011 02:02

HAHAHAHAHAHA You're so fucking funny furkegs!

And so knowledgeable into the bargain.

Seriously impressed I am.

(it's a pisser when a good comment falls to the wayside, good for you not letting it go Grin)

FurKnickersAndNoCoat · 07/05/2011 02:05

[graciously accepts the false adulation and goes to find a picture of a giant african land snail to use as screensaver]

FurKnickersAndNoCoat · 07/05/2011 02:06

tad quicker next time if you don't mind, ithankyou

AgentZigzag · 07/05/2011 02:13

I selfishly got caught up in the excitement of calling someone a twat, I apologise most sincerely.

Barf as having a screensaver with them on, can't you think of something fluffy or cute?

Like an enormously shitting cat for eg?

FurKnickersAndNoCoat · 07/05/2011 02:16

or....a shitting cat riding a giant african land snail....

what in the name of Hock is a Roomba Confused

LostInSockLand · 07/05/2011 02:52

I had a Roomba briefly (sob) he is poorly and has to be repaired.

lesley33 · 07/05/2011 08:22
  1. Some cats won't use a litter tray.
  2. Most cats won't use a litter tray that already has any cat poo in it. So if you are at work or anywhere which means you can't empty a litter tray as soon as the cat has pood, then the cat will poo somewhere else.
3.How do owners follow a cat over fences, into other people's gardens to see their cat pooing and clear it up. Would rather have cat poo than neighbours coming into my garden to clear up poo.

SarahStratton · 07/05/2011 08:29

Conkers scare spiders not cats Grin

Lion poo would work, but that would possibly involve keeping a lion. Ever so slightly extreme. And lion poo would just be giant cat poo.

I really badly want a Roomba. A herd of Roomba would be even better.

And some dust. For a treat.

alistron1 · 07/05/2011 08:34

My cat will not use a litter tray. However he very kindly only uses our vegetable patch as his shitter. And he is very considerate and burys his turds well.

LineRunner · 07/05/2011 08:45

If you don't want cats in your garden there are "products" to deter them on sale at B&Q, HomeBase, and all leading DIY emporia/asylums.

There's a cat version of the "mosquito" frequency device, although I've always wondered about this and whether it's fair on any cats who just happen to live next door to one. Can they hear it? Does it stress them out?

There are other products though like sprays.

I'm afraid that cats do travel quite widely under their own steam (as it were) from garden to garden, and of course owners should provide their cats with toilets of some sort to minimise the chances of cats pooping in other people's property. It's particularly nasty having to clear up cat poop if you're pregnant.
