OP: How long do I need to cook a soft boiled egg for?

Answer: Soft boiled eggs are very high in cholesterol you know. Why not have some steamed fish?

Answer: Why are you cooking at this time of day?

Answer: Are you pregnant OP? Because you shouldn't eat them soft boiled if you are.

Answer: Have you thought about going on a cookery course OP? Sure Start are running them these days.

Answer: Leave the bastard!!

Grin

This often happens on my threads and it would be useful to be able to say without snark "thanks everyone, but can you all stop [insert phrase here] because I really just need to know how long to boil an egg!"

Me, Jamie and Osama then.

Crysalis · 05/05/2011 15:22

thread stepping, thread morphing...

it's pretty close to a strawman or aunt sally response though, so maybe that will do.

gibberwanking.

Though perhaps that would be better for when someone deliberately fails to get the point you are making and keeps on responding to the point she wants to make.

ellifino · 05/05/2011 15:33

No.

Irrelevanting won't do.

The comments aren't irrelevant, they are all on topic but not what the OP was asking.

Judgeyrupting.

Stop judgeyrupting my OP.

Buda · 05/05/2011 15:44

Over-helpful?

TheVeryAngryMumapillar · 05/05/2011 15:45

Oh.

I see gibberwanking is far better than judgeyrupting.

Grin

But why are you bothered anyway? Who cares what people say? Just ignore them. It's better not to get affected by words on a screen....and who are you to coin phrases on here anyway??

TheVeryAngryMumapillar · 05/05/2011 15:45

You mean überanswering? Grin

Virgowoo · 05/05/2011 16:11

I like judgyrupting, but I think judgyjacking has a better alliterative feel.
Portmanteau of judging and hijacking at the same time.

kenobi · 05/05/2011 16:15

like judgyjacking...
