Well I can hand on hart say I never left a child in a car alone on the hottest day of the year to Have sex in the house while the child is in a unlocked car unsurvised

Nasty Nasty to be honest that fact she been so nasty and now trying to attention seek leads me to well believe the sex only lasted 2 minutes

insertfunnynicknamehere · 23/04/2011 22:05

Actually Chipping I think I missed the bit which said you were the OP? Why are you getting on your high horse over me saying that a child who wakes alone in a car might get a fright if they woke and didnt know where they were? You state that plenty of kids would scream blue murder if they were woken out of their sleep, but the same reasoning plenty of kids would scream blue murder if they were 2 and a half and alone in a car calling for their mother... Or did you take some census on how kids react in this situation?

monkeyfacegrace · 23/04/2011 22:06

No, insert, she had read where Id said that he wakes a lot in the car and isnt bothered by it.

OP posts:
TheOriginalFAB · 23/04/2011 22:07

No one cares that the sex only lasted 2 minutes. It is the fact that you risked your child's life for a quick fuck that people are shocked and angry about. And your "And I sure as shit wont do it and let you fuckers know again." post proves you still think it is funny though no doubt you will say you were joking.

Thingumy · 23/04/2011 22:07

I just find it odd.

If you child drops off to sleep for a quick nap whilst driving,I would expect a child to be grumpy when taken out of the car, such is life eh?

If it was their nap time and it coincided with with being in a car, surely they sleep deeper so you can move them into the house and if they are fretful, you take the time to settle them off again whilst in the house.

That's how it worked for me anyway.

Maybe I got it wrong and should of left them sleeping in the car just incase I had to put up with a bout of screaming.

ChippingInLovesEasterEggs · 23/04/2011 22:10

maypole - totally uncalled for.

insert - you didn't say 'might' you said 'would' - completely disregarding the fact that MFG has said that he regularly sleeps in the car and doesn't wake up crying. Why on earth would he not know where he was - he was on his own driveway!? No census required - I know many children and I know many of them cry when they are woken being moved.

Right - going now.... byeeeeeeeee

ihatecbeebies · 23/04/2011 22:10

When I first read this I was really shocked, but looking at what you've said, you had already stopped the car and you and DP were making suggestive flirty comments to each other whilst DS slept, you live in a secluded area with a long drive, car was locked with boot open for air and parked in front of a window and alarm was on sensitive so if anyone approached alarm would go off, DS is 2 and a half and used to finishing naps in car so wouldn't be completely disturbed if he woke, and you were only away for 2 minutes and would have probably been longer if you were bringing in shopping etc, I'm starting to think that you are not so unreasonable however I am from a colder climate so am not sure about how hot it is where you are but that link was quite worrying (although as a previous poster stated you could be stationary in traffic for longer).

maypole1 · 23/04/2011 22:11

She should be slapped with a wet fish and made to eat a old boot

monkeyfacegrace · 23/04/2011 22:14

JESUS. 3 years on MN and I havent been slapped with a wet fish since the first week! Seriousy, we had a whole fish fight!

Cbeebies you summed that up well. I think. But Im prob gunna get cooked for something Ive said now...

There was an awful case some years back where a mother popped into a shop leaving 2 small children asleep in a car and an electrical malfunction caused a fire which caused their deaths.

I know cars are safer now but that story scared me so much that I never left mine in a car and would never recommend it to anybody else, especailly not for a quickie. Shock

Thingumy · 23/04/2011 22:19

oh and my ex left my dd on a petrol forecourt (motorway one so busy) and the handbrake failed..she was trapped in the car and the car rolled off as he was paying and went backwards into a barrier ,thank feck no lorry or car was coming.

I don't leave my children in cars hot weather or not.

yousankmybattleship · 23/04/2011 22:20

I think the thing that has shocked so many people is that the OP obviously puts herself before her child. It would never be right to leave a child alone in a car on a hot day and a quickie shag certainly isn't worth endangering your child for. Very very sad.

Also incredibly tacky to boast about sex (we all do it, but really don't feel the need to show off), but maybe that's a side issue!

Booandpops · 23/04/2011 22:23

Idiot!!!!!

monkeyfacegrace · 23/04/2011 22:23

I do not put myself before my child ffs.

OP posts:
fastedwina · 23/04/2011 22:26

really my only issue is the heat - you really can not take this lightly whether in shade or open windows. I used to leave my child to sleep in the car as he would be very upset when moved but only in much cooler weather. Also you say it was quick but it is so easy to get sidetracked. If you had been in a busier area then yes you would have deserved for a concerned passer by to call the police as they would have no idea how long the child was in the car. maybe you would take this more serious if the police had explained the dangers to you rather than thumbing your nose at concerned folk on Mn.

GitAwfMayLend · 23/04/2011 22:29

OP, thought you were a complete donkey when first read this OP, and tbh still do re leaving the baby there because it was hot today and anything might have happened.

But fair play to you, you can take a MN flaming

There was a case a few years ago in england where the gran left her 2 very young GC in the car in a car park to literally pop across the road the pick up a prescription. The car was in view but she got knocked down and came to in the ambulance and tried to tell the ambulance men about the children. The ambulance men rushed back and started looking for the children - unfortunately they were both dead as it was a hot summers day. It was heartbreakingly sad and it all happened quite quickly.

monkeyfacegrace · 23/04/2011 22:33

fasted thats horrendous.

OP posts:
Thingumy · 23/04/2011 22:36

Do you relax when your dc is in the car asleep op? (well, apart from when you are shagging)

I think i would be glued to a window and fretful, how do you know they are stirring or awake? do you pop out every 5 minute?

monkeyfacegrace · 23/04/2011 22:39

As Ive said above, I park next to my living room window, so my 4yr old comes in and plays, I sit on the sofa reading her a book/doing puzze/painting my nails while watching out the window. Can see him straight through the windscreen.

Or, I pop into the conservatory and unload dishwasher etc.

I stick my head out the window every few mins. When he wakes, he just sits there looking dazed, then gives me a cheesy grin when he spots me through the window.

OP posts:
monkeyfacegrace · 23/04/2011 22:40

He's a little git when he is tired. Sleeps 12-14 hours straight at night, then another 2 ish in the day. But when he is awake its full steam ahead!
