I do know someone in RL that buys from these...I think she fit's your "image" to a tee. She asked me a couple of months ago about something she saw on the channel..I looked it up on the net and found a better one cheaper..! I feer the Q stands for Quantity NOT quality!

I cried last year because I couldn't afford a fancy doormat from QVC.
I was unwell at the time.

I do love QVC though, but only the make up/cleaning/cooking hours.
They make all the stuff look so good, and it keeps me company in the night when I can't sleep.

Sometimes they have on creepy doll hour though. What's that all about?
And then people phone up and talk about the dolls as though they are real.

Me and dh have peed ourselves laughing at the Royal Wedding Monkeys!!!! I mean seriously WTF, people have more money than taste and sense. It invaded our screens as well and we were glued

15 MO DD2 manages to key in the numbers for QVC type channels (and more often than not Ocean Finance) and from what I see I feel really sorry for the presenters having to spin out their enthusiasm for the stuff.

Best thing I saw on QVC was a shiny shirt with a tiger on it - the presenter danced the hanger around and exclaimed 'Look how playful it is!'

Seriously though my friend (who does fit quite well with OP's description ) buys this shite. Then she sells it on e bay for a huge profit! I don't think i would have the guts tbh - as tempting as it is!!
