or are some of the posts on here today really harsh?

ok this is mumsnet, yes we all post to moan, voice an opinion, vent or just ask for a bit of advice, there seem to be a good number of people who post down right vile responses. I am not talking about disagreeing with the subject matter, if you ask am i being unreasonable then you can expect a few yeses, but to be called a bitch and worse? AIBU to expect civil responses? i have an uneasy feeling that some posters are just on here to pick on others,

Grin @bitoffun. tbh i have a thick skin, and am very guilty of engaging mouth before brain, but i really feel for some of the posters!!

this is what mn is about though..and that is why it is special..you need a thick skin on here....if anyone wants to give me vileness i an certainly give it back.....and im sure everyone else can

i had the most awful insult today....i was asked if i was from netmums...the cheek of it...lol

I just put it down to some people not having the intelligence to formulate a non offensive reply to subject they don't necessarily agree with. I'm all for a good debate or playing devils advocate but no need for nastiness.

Got to feel for some of the OPs getting the flack though, not nice.

Do you think they are that nasty in real life?

YANBU at all!seems people use the site to vent their own frustrations on 'faceless' virtual other people forgetting that peoples feelings get hurt at times-thats the internet i suppose!

Fwiw I think there has been an influx of twats and less intelligent posters recently. Maybe that has something to do with it?
