she claims what ever you are allowed for having two dc,no husband,no earnings. She has her mortgage paid too (interest only by gov).
She is working for an accident claims company cash in hand £70 a day and more money if the public that she names has a successful claim.
She works 5 days a week. It's not guarenteed work but she's been doing for a few months now!
She's got loads of money&me&my dh can hardly afford to pay the mortgage let alone book a holiday as she did today to Spain!
If I'm honest I'm jealous. I have no treats. My dh gets up every day at 5/6 a.m& works so hard. We have no luxuries. Sad

There is nothing wrong or abnormal with being a little bitter about someone 'living it up' whilst playing the system.

ShirleyKnot · 01/04/2011 20:11

I like the word ilk. Ilk ilk ilk. I wonder what ilk I'm in?

ebbandflow · 01/04/2011 20:11

Do not report her-it doesn't sound like a long term job anyway. Feel proud of yourself that you have a hardworking husband.

mamatomany · 01/04/2011 20:13

What i never understand is why people brag about this stuff ? In the same way that most murders are caught out by confessing i guess the same applies here, most strange, are they expecting approval or a pat on the back ?

worraliberty · 01/04/2011 20:13

Reporting a benefit thief is one thing, but pretending to be a friend to someone, listening to what they tell you about their personal financial circumstances...and then reporting them behind their back through jealousy is quite another.

If you're going to report her, you might want to grow a back bone. STOP pretending to be her friend and tell her it was you who reported her. Then explain your reasons.

Oneof4 · 01/04/2011 20:13

I was going to suggest telling her that what she's doing is VERY wrong rather than reporting her, but as I typed it I realised that it's an unrealistic suggestion. Isn't it?

People like her make me really irate.

chunkyjojo · 01/04/2011 20:13

cazza why a stupid idea?

Tw1nkle · 01/04/2011 20:13

Too many people get away with it - please report her!

Who needs friends like that anyway - I like my friends to be good law-abiding citizens thankyou!

Please report her.

GORGEOUSX · 01/04/2011 20:15

REPORT HER. She's a thieving scumbag. I don't give two hoots about the repercussions. She should worry about that - not me.

beesimo · 01/04/2011 20:15

I am very well off nowadays but I don't forget where I came from.

Some of my friends from school are on the bones of their arse through no fault of their own. If they get a extra few quid for cleaning a holiday cottage or washing up in a pub I would cheer them on because I know that could be the difference between grinding poverty on benefits or those little extras for the bairns.

We are seeing the accountant next week and it will all be how to avoid stumping up. But that is ok because we're ' operating within the rules' God help the poor in this country I thought the phrase 'deserving poor' was dead and buried.

GORGEOUSX · 01/04/2011 20:18

beesimo Unless you're a billionaire, you'll be stumping up, accountant or not - there are no loopholes for the middle classes, only for the super-rich Hmm

chunkyjojo · 01/04/2011 20:18

Its hardly an extra few quid shes earning 70 quid a day and STILL claiming all she can in benefits

ShirleyKnot · 01/04/2011 20:18

I wonder why I don't know anyone who is screwing the system by working cash in hand for a AccidentClaim4You company who probably don't pay cash in hand.

Wonder if tHe op will come back and answer this question about the WeChaseURAmbulance dot com.

LoveLeonardCohen · 01/04/2011 20:20

That's a good point Shirley - why would an accident claim company, a legitimate one be paying cash in hand anyway, it's illegal

beesimo · 01/04/2011 20:22

We not billonaires we're property developing farmers who can't spell but can add up.

fanjoforthemammaries7850 · 01/04/2011 20:22

This thread is just so genuine

ShirleyKnot · 01/04/2011 20:23

To be fair someone much cleverererer than me pointed it out earlier. Kudos.

GORGEOUSX · 01/04/2011 20:25

In that case beesimo you won't be able to avoid "stumping up" - we all have to - billionaires excepted!

ShirleyKnot · 01/04/2011 20:32

I think you've got a shit accountant actually GORGEOUSX. There are many loopholes for the "middle classes"

GORGEOUSX · 01/04/2011 20:35

LoopyLoopsChupaChups · 01/04/2011 20:42

Oooh it's been ages since this thread has been trotted out. Hmm

meditrina · 01/04/2011 20:43

Just doing the maths, this job pays £18k for a whole year, plus bonus payments for successful intros.

You would still receive some benefits if that was your entire income - I notice you don't say exactly what she claims - are you really sure what's going on here?

She might be within the rules; you could always put her circumstances through the "Entitled To" website and see if it stacks up.

Then follow your conscience.

ShirleyKnot · 01/04/2011 20:43

You've had your sexual predator PM from me GORGEOUSX. Don't be greedy.
