Thank you everyone for all the support - even Dh (who if he is honest is very grumpy about MN and the amount of time i spend on here) joined and was amazed at the sympathy and love from total randoms for us, our little boy, and family.
He didn't feel the same way about his

Edgar, you've been on my mind so much lately I even got an E A Poe book out of the library yesterday, it only clicked once I got home...hope to bump into you on the boards in the future.

Edgar, I'll miss your name - it made me smile. I understand why though.

I was working in the garden with the DCs on Sunday, and we found a little holly tree that had seeded from the big one. So we transplanted it to a more suitable spot - Leo has a holly tree too.

I will be thinking of you tomorrow.

Oh Edgar . Much love to all of you for tomorrow.
Your courage and dignity is astonishing and humbling to see.

We have just created a new garden and I am planting a tree for Master Poe. Next to our bench. A sunny warm spot. A good place.

Please come wave at us ipoaters sometime. I will never spot you otherwise. I am too stupid.

Much love. XXxxx

Edgar Smile I have been onto the bereavement thread several times and wanted to type something, but a line of trotted out cliches about 'sorry for your loss' seems so pathetically inadequate, I've floundered around and not typed anything at all, for fear of seeming trite. Which is worse. Blush

But I (along with many many others) have contributed to the blankets project, and I hope when you get said blankets you'll know that in each square are a thousand unspoken words - because we can't always find the right ones to say out loud. Smile

And I am also going to a funeral tomorrow, and wearing bright colours. I'll take a moment to think of you and your beautiful little boy. x

"when you get said blankets you'll know that in each square are a thousand unspoken words - because we can't always find the right ones to say out loud"

Beautifully said.

Edgar, I will think of you all tomorrow and for long after that: When the daffodils and tulips begin to open and when I see a balloon floating by.

We will be there with you tomorrow and will be here for you beyond that.

Much love to you all.

I will light a candle for you and your family tomorrow, Edgar. I am glad and proud to have been part of the comfort that has been given to you by mumsnet, and to be part of knitting for you too. I have described this to some knitting friends of mine as knitting a huge hug for you all. There's a thought and a prayer in every stitch, I think.

I understand the need for a namechange - and if you need some specific help from mumsnet, you can always namechange back briefly.

I will send a swift thought and prayer your way each time I pick up my knitting.

Another random here...... I have been totally astonished by your courage and dignity. Your posts are eloquent and meaningful and you always think of other people while going through the worst nightmare any of us could imagine. I have been praying for you and your family and I will continue to do so. My thoughts will be with you tomorrow and for a long time to come.xxxxx

Another random here who will be thinking of you tomorrow. Can't plant anything here in Oregon either because of the snow but when we plant sunflowers we will think of your gorgeous little boy.

Farewell to the Edgar nametag, hope to see you around, maybe I'll recognise you!

Will be thinking of you and all your family tomorrow, such a difficult day but something tells me there will be lots of happiness there amongst the sadness. Happy memories of your dear boy.

Tomorrow afternoon DS and I will plant some seeds for Leo. I'll make sure they are bright and colourful. When DD gets home from school we'll do some sunflowers.

I will think of your gorgeous boy, especially when the spring flowers bloom

Love to you all.
