Well I am on a healthy eating and exercise thing. Have been good for nearly two weeks and lost 9lbs. I had a nice meal out Friday night but have completely lost the plot and eaten 4x bags of mini biscuits and nutrigrain bar and a bag of squares.

Bugger - now I feel like I will have cocked up the whole weeks weight loss. Shit bags. Anyone else fallen off the wagon tonight?

Yep! Just had a whole massive bar of whole nut! :o

squeakytoy · 27/03/2011 20:45

I have lost 8lbs in the last 8 days, by not eating any bread, and not drinking coke or any alcohol, and exercising for two hours every day.

I lapsed today and had 2 slices of bread, with some soup, but will just carry on tomorrow.

One lapse wont undo all the work you have done so far as long as you carry on with it tomorrow.

Happygomummy · 27/03/2011 20:47

i had 3 homemade choclate brownies. and wine. and other stuff

to hell with it and be good tomorrow!

Tee2072 · 27/03/2011 20:48

You haven't been good or bad. You've been human.

Tomorrow is another day. Forget today and go back to eating sensibly tomorrow.

Food, also, is neither good nor bad. If you stop thinking about it that way you'll lose weight more sensibly.

FreudianSlippery · 27/03/2011 20:48

Don't panic - that lapse won't make a difference!

A couple of weeks OTOH... Blush

Just got my period as well and those weeks are always a write off... Oh dear! Back on the wagon in around 6 days!

FabbyChic · 27/03/2011 20:49

8lbs in 8 days is a hell of a lot to lose. Ive lost 2stone 2lb but it has taken over five months, I've still 10lb to go Im eating fuck all and not losing anything at the moment.

I applaud your weight loss. I've only ever lost 2lb a week.

whatsallthehullaballoo · 27/03/2011 20:49

I didnt have any chocolate on the house Happymm which is why I ate all the stupid snack things for lunch boxes etc...now I need more shopping too!!

I have been running 3 times a week and doing 2x exercise classes a week so will crack on for the next 6 days (have mothers day off) and then exercise like a demon again!!

Squeakytoy - I will be strong this week - the taste of some really tasty food on Friday set me off again dammit!!

This was the first 8 days, so I know my weight loss will slow down from now on, so long as I lose 3lbs a week over the next month I will be happy.

I got the Biggest Loser Wii game. It was only a tenner and it is superb. Best exercise dvd I have ever tried, and works too. I ached in muscles I didnt even know I had for most of the week.

FabbyChic · 27/03/2011 20:56

Is it better than the Wii fit? Which I asked my son for for Christmas but never use?

whatsallthehullaballoo · 27/03/2011 20:58

I haven't seen that one but love watching the tv show. I have 21 lbs to lose....achievable by end of May if I can maintain a 2-3 llbs weight loss. Looks like I may have to get my husband to lock the food cupboards in future. What a numpty I am..Humph.

Much better than the Wii fit, Fabby. I have that, and the Wii Fit plus and they are ok, but dont motivate me enough.

This lets you put in how many calories you have eaten. You get a weekly weigh in, and you do about half an hour of exercise each day. (plus you can do additional exercise too. Really easy to follow, and unlike the wii fit, the daily training is set, you just follow what they say, not pick and choose different games.

FabbyChic · 27/03/2011 21:04

Sounds like Im going to have to get that Squeaky will look in Asda tomorrow. I need something where they tell me what to do. Ive lost all my weight with no exercise at all, but shifting the last 10lb is a pain. Maybe this is what I need.

Thanks.

squeakytoy · 27/03/2011 21:07

I got it in Sainsburys, so I know they have it there.

Good luck with it, I am really enjoying it. :)

FabbyChic · 27/03/2011 21:09

Im just lazy and very apathetic, I need to tone as I lose but haven't my son says I will have wobbly bits, I said at 46 I'd expect them! and Im interested in what I look like clothed not unclothed!

Having lost 30 bags of sugar I thought I done real well although its take ages.

BreakOutTheKaraoke · 27/03/2011 21:11

Do you need the wii fit board for it? Debating on getting one, not sure if its worth it.

PatTheHammer · 27/03/2011 21:12

21lb by the end of May is really achievable.

9lbs in two weeks is a great start so well done you! but you know you won't maintain that don't you, it wll level off as most weight loss in early weeks is fluid.Whoever said they had lost 1-2lb a week was about right.

I started going to classes and running in earnest at the start of Feb. I have mostly eaten whatever the hell I like, not calorie counted just cut back a bit on crap and I weighed in last week (doing it fortnightly) and I had lost 20lbs.

I have found the shift in my metabolism incredible, I feel so much fitter and actually my apetite has decreased without thinking about it. The best thing is if I really want a bag of mini-eggs I will have them without the guiltGrin

whatsallthehullaballoo · 27/03/2011 21:12

Fabby you have done really really well! Doesn't sound like it has taken you too long at all! I have lost 3 stone over 18months. Then put a stone back hence the now fretful dieting.

I have to admit I have quite enjoyed the exercise this time!! I am doing Zumba - has anyone tried it?

Dilligaf81 · 27/03/2011 21:14

I always lapse when DH is on nights, Id cooked a lovely pasta sauce with veggies and wholemeal pasta BUT whilst I was BF DD I have eaten, 12 fruit shorties, 1/2 large bag of salted tortilla chips and a small choc bar. I did do the 30 day shred dvd today and went for a run.
Last night I ate a massive dinner and then ate a family size bag of malteasers. Its a good job he only works 2 nights every 8 days.

Well dvd and run again tomorrow.

Dilligaf81 · 27/03/2011 21:14

Im dying to try Zumba but have to wait till DD will take a bottle.

squeakytoy · 27/03/2011 21:14

You can do it without the wi fit board, and manually enter your weights into it, but I would say it is better with the board.

PatTheHammer · 27/03/2011 21:14

Oh Fabby yes, you must tone as you loseSmile Fab amount to lose, well done.

I am really worried about wobbly bits and loose skin hence the regime (running twice weekly and 6 classes a week).

PatTheHammer · 27/03/2011 21:16

Zumba is great, I also do Spin, Body Balance and Body Pump which are great. I make myself do Circuit training which I HATE but it gets results.

FabbyChic · 27/03/2011 21:17

I seriously hate exercise! and I smoke! Im so unfit I get puffed out walking up the stairs! ha ha and Im not large anymore, when I was my back killed me.

borderslass · 27/03/2011 21:17

Think of tomorrow as a new day fresh start I'm almost at target weight taken a long time to lose the weight.
