Well I am on a healthy eating and exercise thing. Have been good for nearly two weeks and lost 9lbs. I had a nice meal out Friday night but have completely lost the plot and eaten 4x bags of mini biscuits and nutrigrain bar and a bag of squares.

Bugger - now I feel like I will have cocked up the whole weeks weight loss. Shit bags. Anyone else fallen off the wagon tonight?

Well done to all of you who have persevered and lost weight!

whatsallthehullaballoo · 27/03/2011 21:19

Pat - how do you get to 6 classes a week? Also works out very expensive! So
unds like you are one fit person though!!

What about swimming? Or pilates would help you tone and you don't get 'puffed' out like cardio. Or hill-walking for toned legs!

It would also mean you could eat a bit more, why not look at it that wayWink?

I pulled a muscle in my shoulder doing some Yoga shite on the Wii Fit plus two months ago, I still cannot move it properly! bah fitness.

whatsallthehullaballoo · 27/03/2011 21:22

I thought that too fabby but I have improved very quickly and now that I am moderately 'fit' I almost don't mind so much what the scales say because I know I am eating healthy and exercising ( still need weight loss though)!

Its £28 a month at my local gym for unlimited classes, such a great deal. The running is free but when i get better I can join the running club.

Some classes are 45mins so I do back to back classes like spin and Zumba, therefore only using a few evenings a week.

Oh and they do a creche service for £2 so DS goes there for an hour on my day off and I fit one in then.

Some weeks its 4 classes, sometimes 7. Depends what else I've got on.

This being MN, it was only a matter of time before someone mentioned it, but for anyone trying to tone up I'd recommend the 30 Day Shred DVD. It's only 20 minutes a day but you will tone up and lose inches. It really works.

borderslass · 27/03/2011 21:23

I've hardly done any exercise whilst losing the weight apart from the Wii DD2 nearly killed me doing just dance was knackered need to get the last few pounds shifted soon.

PatTheHammer · 27/03/2011 21:26

My friend did 30 day shred and it was great for her, really good results. Depends how motivated you can be at home. I for one need the pressure of an instructor breathing down my neck or I would just give up!

FabbyChic · 27/03/2011 21:26

MissPenteuth will look at that.

squeakytoy · 27/03/2011 21:27

I was actually looking for the Shred dvd, but they didnt have it in the shop, hence why I got the Biggest Loser game. It is still Jillian Micheals so a good compromise, and the workouts are only 20 mins.

TeaOneSugar · 27/03/2011 21:27

misspenteuth I looked on Amazon and there seemed to be a few versions of the 30 day shred DVD, would you mind linking to the one you have?

MissPenteuth · 27/03/2011 21:29

Linky

At £5.49 you can't afford not to buy it Grin Ideally you also need some hand weights (about 1-2kg, depending on how strong you are).

Gertiegoolash · 27/03/2011 21:29

I've just stuffed my face with half a pack of digestives (DH took the rest off me and has hidden them otherwise I would have demolished the whole packet) I've been doing so well too. :(

squeakytoy · 27/03/2011 21:30

Yup, thats the one :)

TeaOneSugar · 27/03/2011 21:32

Thanks MissPenteuth, I'll order one now, I've got some handweights.

TeaOneSugar · 27/03/2011 21:35

It's ordered Grin

FabbyChic · 27/03/2011 21:37

Thanks Miss P will buy one too. And the Biggest Loser Wii game tomorrow.

napoleona · 27/03/2011 21:38

I have eaten 4 hot cross buns. Diet is not going well.

squeakytoy · 27/03/2011 21:40

I just ordered the shred one too :)

MissPenteuth · 27/03/2011 21:40

Shred support thread here btw.

FabbyChic · 27/03/2011 21:42

Thing is I don't work and have so much time on my hands I have plenty of time to exercise, if I can get fit in half an hour day that be great.

PatTheHammer · 27/03/2011 21:46

£5.49 is a good price, I am tempted but my DH may just kill me if I attempt some more exercise...............

I've had a hot-cross bun today and a twirl, but my circuits class burns about 400 cals so not bothered!

Were the 4 buns part of a meal or just a snack?Wink
