boosmummie · 01/04/2011 20:49

Seriously without wishing to make you any more jealous which of course I do, the more the better, it's warm and sunny and there's lots of buildings being tended to and roads being resurfaced in downtown Marbs. Tee hee Grin

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 20:58
  • Yeah but, no but, we have .....erm ....... worthy stuff like feminists 'n that, innit?
boosmummie · 01/04/2011 21:01

Yeah innit man woman Grin

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 21:08

Here's another one:

I get well pissed of with not being able to sometimes just say to a kid "Sit down and shut up, you fool". Not allowed to, oh no, but, boy I've been tempted and come very, very close when dealing with a gobby yob challenging child.

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 21:17

Any child or just your own?! Grin

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 21:33

Oh, other people's (teacher) - mine are grown up so I can tell them to sit down and shut up. And I probably did it when they were young too .... Grin

Teachers are not supposed to traumatise children by telling them to shut up. Infringes their rights don't you know.

Disclaimer: - this is lighthearted people

FunnyBumbleBee · 01/04/2011 21:38

He he, I'm a teacher too. I sometimes tell them to shut up. Sue me!

p.s. I have been on this thread and the last one. I just namechanged because I think my sister knows who I am and I don't want her to!

FunnyBumbleBee · 01/04/2011 21:40

Oh, and my opinion of the day. Lots of mums complain when Dad has a sporting hobby that means he's out every weekend for 3.00 kick off or 2.00 golf. I positively relish it!

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 21:42

Well they bloody well should be allowed. Didn't do me any harm - not that I needed to be told, it was the fear of it that did the trick! When I saw how the kids at my ex DSD's school behaved I was horrified - I am amazed and in awe of the teachers for putting up with the shit they have to.

Rights? What about yours? This does make me so angry actually - teachers are there because they want to teach these rude idiots, but frankly if the children behave like that then they deserve fuck all at the end of school!!!!!

I find it so sad that there is just no respect anymore, and heaven forbid that we upset a poor little thick skinned, tw*t headed idiot tosspot teenager by asking them to settle down so others can learn.

RANT OVER

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 21:44

Oh - I relish that too. My DH is away just now and it's been me, me, me for days.
I love when DH goes out to do "stuff" - I get peace. Love the bones of him but soooo nice to have time for just doing nowt, eh?

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 21:45

Grin at FunnyBB!!!

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 21:51

Doing nowt that is apart from sometimes having to enter the black hole of Calcutta my DS's bedroom to open a window, collect plates/glasses etc.

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 21:52

The Shit Pit as it is known in my house!!!

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 21:57

Ah well, DS is in his 20s and still here . One day, one day............

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 22:11

You never know - that may be me in 7 years time.... Although Bella will only be 9, so I am doing life with children really. 33 years it will be from DD1 arriving to DD3 leaving - assuming she goes at 18 that is! Shit, thats a lot when I say it like that!! Almost as long as I've been alive I bloody wish

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 22:12

Meant to ask. What age do you teach?

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 22:17

I'm secondary - so 12-17/18. I love it really - never boring and every day is funny/sad/challenging/amazing. But my contract ends soon (fixed term) so who knows what the future holds! Darned recession and cut-backs again!

Right - I'm off to watch True Blood. Ooh I love True Blood.

Back as soon as .................. Grin

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 23:25

Back again - why would you invite a Vampire in?? If you knew they were a vampire? Why?
OK - I've had too much wine.

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 23:31

Seems a little daft - wine or no wine...

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 23:34

YY - everyone knows you never invite vampires in

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 23:39

Will your head be fuzzed up and crap tomorrow perchance?

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 23:44

I'm Scottish .... our heads are never fuzzed up!

Actually, I do feel tired so I'm of to bed!! Night boo and everyone else!!
