Unpopular opinions specific to Mumsnet site

1 boastful bullshtters like LeQ need to have the pss ripped out, not ars*licked

2 breastfeeding thread posters shouldnt be told to shut up when they admit bf is bloody hell and most people f*cking hate it and are relieved when they put their baby (and themselves) on the bottle - bye bye long grey boobs + earth mother hair shirts, hello husband, you don't need to ogle that sexy young intern now

3 FB related posts are a waste of everyones precious life - get over yourself and get a real life

4 its OK to disagree with someone without dancing round the subject and adding loads of smiley faces in case they start crying

5 if you ask for an opinion about your DC and ppl tell you it had brattish behaviour, don't argue about it, remember you asked & take notice, its only what everyone in RL was thinking

Salmotrutta · 07/04/2011 21:49

OK, well, here goes........... LeVraiVerite - maybe not great to make a personal attack about a poster on a thread that's meant to be light-hearted and taken with a pinch of salt.

I actually agree with points 3-5.

point 2 - Biscuit

OmShantiJack · 07/04/2011 22:04
Hmm Have to second Biscuit re point 2.

Have to completely agree with Salmo re point 1. Perhaps you should take this up with LeQueen herself.

Point 3 - Biscuit

Point 4,5 - yup, agree.

Salmotrutta · 07/04/2011 22:20

Hi Jacks - was "afeert" for a while there that it would all go pear-shaped!

How's the Ommmmming? Grin

Just joshing!

Another unpopular opinion:

Shove treats in the general direction of your grandchild to stop them grizzling and smile indulgently at their naughtiness -they will love you for it and it is not bribery going to do them any harm.

Salmotrutta · 07/04/2011 22:34

It's perfectly acceptable to be as excited as a schoolgirl looking forward to a weekend away when you are old and decrepit ....... like me! Grin

Very excited, I am!! Grin

Hola ladies, we is here. Get this, 44 people on flight. Landed ahead of time and it took FIFTEEN mins from landing to standing outside gatwick south. NEVER has that happened and I doubt it'll happen again. Only one downside - they sent one of my cases to Valencia???? Ho hum, should be here in a couple of days.

FoofffyShmoofffer · 08/04/2011 07:48

Happy Landings Boo. Sorry about your case. No doubt you'll get it back in time for going back Grin

Hi Salmo and Jack, Smile

LVV - well, point number one sounds like a personal gripe.
No 2 - Started fair enough but then you stepped on your own point after a while.
No 3,4 and 5 - Fair enough.

OmShantiJack · 09/04/2011 20:36

Hi Fooofy, Salmo, Boo etc... just popping in to keep this in my Threads I'm on, I have had literally no time, am on a course all weekend - oh yeah, I told you guys about it, the yoga teacher training - and it's my birthday today [shameless :o] so have really no time at all to hang out and MN.
xxxJacks

boosmummie · 09/04/2011 23:27

Happy Birthday Jack. Trusting that you have been suitably spoilt......

My hate for the day is people barging on buses when I have clearly been standing at the stop longer, and I have a small person in a buggy AND they get off one stop (200yds) later.

OmShantiJack · 12/04/2011 15:48

I had a great birthday! Someone in my yoga teacher training class found out it was my birthday, and got a birthday card and everyone signed it... I nearly cried. :)

DH and DS spoiled me rotten - I got to have a lie-in until 9 am ShockGrin and then I had a shower by myself (rather than with DS climbing in halfway), and then we went out to brunch, and then I had the YTT in the afternoon. Was a great day.

How's everyone?

Any unpopular opinions today?

I have one, and it might be truly unpopular, as well as slightly hypocritical (PFB syndrome Blush) - yes, you've just had a baby, and yes, it's the greatest thing you've ever done... but please, we don't need a new picture on FB Every Bleeding Day showing "daddy and daughter nap", "daddy and daughter date at nearby cafe", "baby decided she needed to sleep in the big bed with mommy"... yes, your baby is adorable (she truly is), but seriously... get a grip.

In my defence, I wasn't on FB when Jack was a wee tiny baby or I might have done similar shite... on the other hand, I think I might have had enough self-control to realize that not everyone thinks the sun shines out of my PFB's arse... then again, maybe not... Blush

Salmotrutta · 12/04/2011 16:01

Afternoon Jack - glad you had a fab birthday! Grin

Agree with your unpopular opinion - Facebook wasn't invented when mine were born but I don't think we bored passing strangers with baby photos anyway.

And I've no desire to wade through other people's.

Shoes with heels so high your foot is vertical are ridiculous and a Bad Thing.
Tiny boys (i.e.. toddlers) look ridiculous in kilts as they always slip down and end up hanging off the boy in question.
"Made-Up" new tartans are also vile and horrible. Don't do it OK?
