Right then, lets keep it clean like 99% of the last one :)

OP posts:
Salmotrutta · 29/03/2011 22:46

Oh well ............ if wine's on offer....... cheers Jack

Blowing raspberries is very naughty boo ........

boosmummie · 29/03/2011 22:47

I don't dislike her. She's done rather well for herself and hasn't had the easiest of times with her older son.

You'd love it where I am - it's practically the law to have fake tan....

But don't you think that 'chav' is such a good descriptive word?

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 22:48

What does "chav" mean? [ignorant furriner emoticon]

bristolcities · 29/03/2011 22:48

It is and I often can't think of another word to replace it with. Maybe tacky???

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 22:51

Ah [enlightened] - tacky. I see.

Salmotrutta · 29/03/2011 22:51

Naff?

Vulgar?

Tawdry? ........ ooh that's a good word

bristolcities · 29/03/2011 22:51

Well this is why I don't like it. It's a tacky lower class person and came from the Romany Gypsy word 'chavi' which means child. So I try to minimize its use.

boosmummie · 29/03/2011 22:51

Here though it's Wiki... I think that's the general consensus though.

You think raspberries are bad - DD1 taught DD3 the V sign, except DD3 uses her two index fingers pointed in vaguely opposite directions. I was sooooo proud....

boosmummie · 29/03/2011 22:53

further down the Wiki link it says that it's thought that it may have derived from 'Chatham Girls'.... Possibly Grin

FoofffyShmoofffer · 29/03/2011 22:55

Well my bum has gone to sleep so I shall follow it.
Not that you aren't all riveting Grin of course.

Niiiiiggghhhttt.

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:00

Wake your bum up before it starts snoring.

Ba-da-BUM :o

Salmotrutta · 29/03/2011 23:02

Hahahaha - bum

And on that note I'm off too - night all!!

boosmummie · 29/03/2011 23:10

Me too, it's after midnight abloodygain..... nighty night.

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:10

Since it's only 3:10 pm in my time zone, I will sit around twiddling my thumbs thinking of unpopular opinions to unload overnight. :o

boosmummie · 29/03/2011 23:15

I just sneaked a look at your profile and saw that you're in one of my favourite countries. Have a beer and clam for me!!!! I will look forward to a read in the morning....!

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:17

I'll leave the beer and Clamato to DH, he likes that sort of thing. I'm a wine snob girl :o

boosmummie · 29/03/2011 23:19

I like my wine too. I do just love a cold beer and clam. No one that's not Canadian understands..! Must go back there one day. Now I MUST go to bed.

Jacksmania · 29/03/2011 23:46

Ny ny :)

Jacksmania · 01/04/2011 17:59

Oh, have obviously killed the thread...

Ok, can I try to resurrect it? My unpopular opinion of the day is:

Beauty does not depend on size. One of my most beautiful girlfriends is overweight. And she is very fit.

bristolcities · 01/04/2011 18:59

I'm a fat arse so your opinion is very popular with me Grin

Jacksmania · 01/04/2011 19:07

Shit, blew that, didn't I? :o

Seriously, though... that whole "skinny is beautiful" crap that is portrayed by starved-looking runway models is utter bollocks. My gf at size whatever is bloody gorgeous, and I assure you there was nothing attractive about me when I was an anorexic size 0-2. Nothing. I was skeletal. (This was 10 years ago.)
And here's the other thing that chaps my arse: no-one needs to tell overweight people that being so isn't healthy. Most of them know! Overweight does not equal stupid and I'm constantly baffled that overweight people are treated as if they're idiots. It's more often the unhealthily skinny people who seem to lack the brains to realize that being underweight is just as bad. Or maybe it's denial, I don't know.

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 19:30

Hi Jacks steam right in I say!!!!! Problem is I agree with you Grin

Jacksmania · 01/04/2011 19:47

:o

Salmotrutta · 01/04/2011 20:18

Well, I think it's perfectly OK to tell little white lies to flee from the clutches of your MIL who would like you to stay visiting for hours when you're knackered and would like a nice glass of wine cup of tea at home with your feet up.
Not that I'd ever do that mind............ I'm just saying.

boosmummie · 01/04/2011 20:20

Liar liar your non retardant pants are on fire. AGAIN.
