To want to give Davina a great big hug

and a Wine

She's trying so hard not to cry after every film and it's breaking my heart. I bet she can't wait to give her babies a cuddle. I'm going up every 2 minutes to cuddle mine and thank god we're so lucky.

Watching the guy wo had to chose which child to not have the oxygen puts my annoyance at my PC not working properly today in to perspective.

christ, i would prefer to hit her with a shovel

but thats just me :)

Thank fuck the slebs can do their bit eh?

Drizzela · 18/03/2011 21:39

Wow what an unexpected response. I'm sat here looking like a snivvling wreck and she has to watch it whilst remaining radiant and fabulous. I just felt for the woman. It can't be nice watching that without being near to your kids.

sharbie · 18/03/2011 21:41

its part of her job

Mrsmackie · 18/03/2011 21:42

Agree with you Drizzela - I really feel for her. Celebrity or not she is a mother too.

Dunno but I think she looks a little bit like Courtney Cox tonight.

YouTry · 18/03/2011 21:46

I was just watching it thinking she is bloody annoying. weird how different people react, eh?!

Drizzela · 18/03/2011 21:46

Well yes, obviously D0G. That goes without saying Confused

I second shovel-hitting. Put her out of her misery.

It's not about the sodding slebs though is it?

I couldn't give a shit who is presenting and who cries on national tv.

Like sharbie said,it's her job.

I give a shit about the people they film and are still living through terrible times when the camera stops rolling.

sharbie · 18/03/2011 21:48

not really the same is it altinkum

sharbie · 18/03/2011 21:49

thanks thingy

mummynoseynora · 18/03/2011 21:50

I'm with you OP She's been out there and seen it all first hand too (and done her bit too - didn't she do kili?) And she's a mother... it must actually be killing her that she can't do more - I wouldn't be surprised if she donates shed loads every time....

Drizzela · 18/03/2011 21:52

It's not about the celebrities. But hardly anyone would watch it if there were no celebrities on it so thank god the ones that do it, Davina et al, bother. Despite how hard it must be.

Are they paid? I'm pretty sure they're not.

OP posts:
Thingumy · 18/03/2011 21:53

How you about you think about the volunteers working out in these areas 24/7 and not some sleb who rocks up once a year with a film crew?

Thingumy, I obviously feel for them too. It was Davina that struck me at that moment.

Should I have listed everyone connected with this as well, in order of who was most deserving of sympathy, so as to not appear shallow?

All the other stuff goes without saying. Obviously.

I see the simalarity alkinkum

perfumedlife · 18/03/2011 22:00

Oh I loathe Davina. Anyway, she will live, she will go to the green room, have a large red and catch the limo home to her baybees. Don't feel too sorry for her, we've been subjected to her false joviality for nigh on twenty five years.Sad

Pity the kids.

PigValentine · 18/03/2011 22:01

If celebs didn't "rock up once a year with a film crew" about 99% of the people who donate to comic relief would do fuck all.

southeastastra · 18/03/2011 22:03

agree with perfumedlife davina would not be the first celeb i would pick if i wanted someone to help promote a charity

she does that fake concerned face so well, weve all watched big brother

schroeder · 18/03/2011 22:05

I just said to dh she looked like she was gonna cry-I do feel for her. Obviously not as much as that poor bloke who had somehow to choose which of his children would not get oxygenSad

Come on peeps there's room to feel for Davina too

Thingumy · 18/03/2011 22:05

'If celebs didn't "rock up once a year with a film crew" about 99% of the people who donate to comic relief would do fuck all.'

Really?

I personally don't need a sleb to tell me to donate.

I choose to educate myself on charities and their work without the need of take that or sodding Fearne Cotton.

PigValentine · 18/03/2011 22:07

Then you are in the 1%.
