backstory:
my sister gave me her NHS pregnancy book, and I have been studying it intently (because I want to be fully informed when I finally conceive)
Last night, he was watching the football and I was annoying him every five seconds with comments from the book. Grin

anyway, got to a blue block of text in the Ante-natal section.
it said "think about joining NetMums etc etc etc and the website "
I pointed it out to DH, saying that that was appalling and dreadful that they would suggest such a thing. Shock

he said to me, "that's what you are though, isn't it? netmums?"

my face --> ShockShock

I explained patiently that we are not NetMums we are MumsNet and he didn't understand! he reiterated that we are a bunch of mums on the net, therefore we are NetMums.

I told him that I would get your opinions on this and report back.

So, AIBU - Nest of Vipers, right?

Grin

He is winding you up.

plupedantic · 02/03/2011 11:23

Wait till he's desperate and give him a choice.

RedHeels · 02/03/2011 11:23

Oooh, you realy want him to know what you really are? Grin

Tell him to jog on, if he doesn't understand the difference as you'll be well rid off of such a twunt!

HTH

plupedantic · 02/03/2011 11:24

Desperate for information, I mean. Then: let the best site win, for him!

nickelbabe · 02/03/2011 11:26

what would i do if he decided he preferred NM?
Shock

i spent a while explaining about the swearing (and obv how important that is), then I sent him to get e a drink so that he missed the first goal.

Tell him that a netmumser would smile at his ignorance and say "never mind, 'hun', lol" and a mumsetter would kick him in the cock.

YANBU, how very dare he. . .GrinWink

TheEvilDead2 · 02/03/2011 11:45

Though shalt also not drag netmums mumsnetters from other threads to slag off thine husband.

Although how fucking dare he.

Moodykat · 02/03/2011 11:45

Grin at QueenOfWitches

ChickensHaveNoEyebrows · 02/03/2011 11:45

Let him believe you are a netmum. Then you can continue running with the wolves while he imagines you hypnotised by tickers.

ChippingInMistressSteamMop · 02/03/2011 11:45

He's controlling and abusive - leave him.

JaxTellersOldLady · 02/03/2011 11:46

YANBU.

KittaKatta · 02/03/2011 11:46

CBear6 · 02/03/2011 11:48

worraliberty · 02/03/2011 11:49

nickelbabe · 02/03/2011 11:49

Yes, grab a turkey baster, extract his man milk and leave the bastard immediately!! Grin

PigeonPie · 02/03/2011 11:52

My DH discovered MN a while ago when Googling some 'problem' which one of the DSs had. He read the thread (and found the answer which I'd already given him) and then proceeded to Google Dragon Butter Grin.

I thinks he knows what we're like now!

So, he just needs to find out for himself OP.

nickelbabe · 02/03/2011 11:55
Shock

but he does know what we're like! He knows that I'm on here all the time every now and then.

he knows who we are!
which is why i can't understand why he'd think we were them
ShockConfused and Shock again.

maybe i should send him over there....
