Only ailment at the moment is what seems like permanent bad temper. I'm self medicating with chocolate!

SpringHeeledJack · 12/05/2011 12:45

aww, I heart revenge

best o' luck

SpringHeeledJack · 12/05/2011 12:46

ooh, I have that too, baby

my instant response to hearing my name is to whizz round, yelling "WHHHHHHAT?"

CheerfulYank · 12/05/2011 12:52

Ooh, I'm always up for revenge! Vengeance is mine, sayeth the Yank.

Tis true. :)

PrincessFiorimonde · 14/05/2011 07:33

Hello children ladies. Have had a lovely holiday in the loverrly country of Croatia , but am saddened to learn that Hully has been ill and that Jins and MrSHJ have been having such horrid times work-wise.

Chins up, my dears, and am frankly wishing all ill wishes on all those who done you bad.

On the bright side - the sun is shining, and how good to see that Pag is well and that CheerfulYank is living up to her name, as ever. Smile

But where are Mimi, Mini and the rest? (The lovely Gibbon is, I believe, on an MN break - how can she do it?) And can Umami return to this thread in time to make all right? Or maybe she is all weddinged-out? (Would not blame her there, unless she turns out to be Pippa Bloody Middleton. Hmm)

And here's something to keep us all going

SpringHeeledJack · 14/05/2011 12:01

...may I presume to call you fliffy, tho our acquaintance is but fleeting?

I don't know if you heard himself ont radio tother day (premiere of POTC 19, if my memory serves me well), but he sounds like an unholy cross between a Monty Python who has spent too much time in LA, and Sly Stallone. And possibly a Cuban.

most odd...

CheerfulYank · 14/05/2011 18:27

Princess , darling! How are you?

Sigh...I need to get off the sofa and clean. I'm having an early birthday party tomorrow (one of them; I like multiple parties, me Blush ) and I am insisting on manual labor in lieu of gifts because I know they'll bring me gifts anyway . So some of my lurvely friends are showing up tomorrow to help me finish all the half painted rooms in my house. I suppose the least I can do is not expect them to step over books and Lego and just-in-case-sick-buckets (DS was poorly yesterday) scattered hell to breakfast.

PrincessFiorimonde · 14/05/2011 19:55

Dear SHJ,
You may call me whatever you like (bearing in mind the MNHQ guidelines). I believe it was Young Pag who coined the word 'Fliffy', which, while not as respectful a term as I feel is becoming to one of my age (105 years) or stature (4 foot 7), I am prepared to live with.

Hi Cheerful!

How the devil are you, m'girl? Is it your birthday? (rather than your DS's/DH's, I mean.) If so - HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU! And get everyone else to do the Lego-tossing, etc., while you go for the languid look along the chaise-longue instead.

Hope DS is feeling better. Smile

Have fab fun, everyone.

CheerfulYank · 14/05/2011 20:24

It's my birthday on Tuesday. My last birthday starting with a 2, alas. :)

PrincessFiorimonde · 14/05/2011 21:05

Don't worry. You can go on being 21 for ever.

BeribbonedGibbon · 16/05/2011 07:29

I had to come and send my love to you all. I had the most surreal dream last night, we were all sailing the sea in a huge tea chest and were giggling at using our combined pants as a sail. It was a wonderfully bizarre dream and I woke up smiling Smile

I hope you are all well and good and as fabulous as ever xxx

Hullygully · 16/05/2011 09:04

Gibb!

You're back. And to stay, aren't you?

Now, we need Umami and Mimi...

Happy birthday Baby Cheerful!

Hello Hulster Smile

It's weird, I haven't thought about MN/posting (though you have all been in my thoughts, hoping all is good and well with you all) but I had that dream last night and just had to come and say hello.

How are you and the DC? I have been hoping you had a magical trip, tell me it was fabulous and make me jealous Smile

Hullygully · 16/05/2011 09:56

It was very very very hot and very very hard work, but yes, it was great. Had forgotten what hard work lovely ol India is...

And you and dc? all good good?

How on earth have you been filling your time without mn...??

OP posts:
BeribbonedGibbon · 16/05/2011 10:11

So pleased you had a great time! It is a place I have yet to visit. I should have visited my bro when he lived there.

All good here. DD1 got the school I hoped for and is excited about starting and DD2 keeps me v busy. She is into everything the chilled out baby is growing into a very cheeky, crawling, chaos maker Wink I can scarce believe that she is one next month.

Time is offically flying far too fast. I look at my girls and just want to hit pause.

So have widow and mimi not been around much? Are they off on adventures? How are my lovely Pag and Princess et al?

Hullygully · 16/05/2011 10:14

they are all very naughty and not here much.

Widow and Mimi have vanished altogether

BeribbonedGibbon · 16/05/2011 10:18

We need a true reunion at the great hall.

It'll be like field of dreams - 'if we write it, they will come'

Jins · 16/05/2011 10:24

Won't be long before we start a new saga :)

Hi Gibb - good to see you

BeribbonedGibbon · 16/05/2011 10:29

Hello Jins my lovely Smile

Had a quick glance up thread, how is work? Am hoping it's one of those things that turns out to be the best thing that could have happened though it initially seemed awful IYKWIM? Hope that makes sense.

I am doing an awful lot of hoping. I need to think of a more interesting word....

Jins · 16/05/2011 10:31

I'm feeling pretty good about it Gibb and I'm sure that it's for the best. Just have to get through the inconvenient admin side of things then my new life starts.

PrincessFiorimonde · 16/05/2011 10:34

Nice to see you, Gibbon, Hully and Jins. Dreaming about MN is a bit weird, Gibbon, but at least it was a suitably surreal dream about IPOAT (rather than, say, your brain rehashing various squabble threads).

BeribbonedGibbon · 16/05/2011 10:38

It was very random Princess, I haven't lurked or posted in a couple of months but as I said I do think of you all, hoping all is good and I think the insane part of my brain was reminding me to say hello Smile

Positivity is the perfect way forward Jins Smile

BeribbonedGibbon · 16/05/2011 10:39

Must swoon now but much love to each and every one of you x

CheerfulYank · 17/05/2011 05:15

:o

Hullygully · 17/05/2011 08:48

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU
HAPPY BIRTHDAY DEARRRRRRR CHEERFUL
