Hooray for fliffy!
Are you going somewhere lovverly?
I shall be back by then
We shall have our hully return and we will gather and assemble and I shall delight you with tales of rum and high jinx on the beach. and the monkeys I have seen (not a euphemism)

PrincessFiorimonde · 17/04/2011 00:41

Pag, we are going to Croatia. The Dalmatian coast, but without the dogs. Hoping for a bit of warmth, or at least sea views backed by mountains and pine forests. I suspect Hmm you are/have been in the Caribbean. Hope you had a loverrly time. Am really not jealous at all. Envy

High jinks, eh?

Pagwatch · 17/04/2011 02:52

Smile oh very nice flif.

I am burning nicely. Last holiday with all the dcs before ds1 flees the nest. We are spending days on the beach and then evening playing overly competitive cluedo and uno. It is lovely tbh. But I am not nearly drunk enough Grin

PrincessFiorimonde · 17/04/2011 06:04

Hah! I remember those competitive Cluedo days. Squabble Scrabble was another game that we competitive kids loved. Oh, and Ludo - remember that? Lost count of how many times Dad confiscated that from us when we were kids.

It's great that you are all holidaying en famille, Pag. But your DS1 sounds so lovely; I am sure this won't be your last family holiday.

Keep those cocktails coming, mate.

PrincessFiorimonde · 20/04/2011 18:24

Here you are Pag, and hope you are having a lovely holiday.

I'm off for a long break from MN, but send love, kisses and fairy dust to all. xx

Hullygully · 28/04/2011 16:56

Ohohohoh

I return with unspeakable damage rent upon me by furrin parts. It was a near miss, only the fear of the dcs rage got me on the second plane and not in a hospital.

AHEM

OP posts:
Hullygully · 05/05/2011 10:47

Fine. That's just fine

Alone again.

In that case I shall please myself. I think I might have a little IPOAT memorial service, at sea, with bunting and cake. I shall have flags made and fly them at half mast and drop little effigies of Widow, Gibbon, Paggy, Fliffy, James, Tethers, Jins, Mini and Mimi into the sea with hardly a splash and then...

I shall dance.

Hullygully · 05/05/2011 10:49

AND

I shall fill up all the rest of the threadlet myself.

OP posts:
HotCrossJins · 05/05/2011 11:11

Poor you Hully.

Don't have a memorial service just yet. I will need this thread for comfort and sanity very very soon :-(

Hullygully · 05/05/2011 11:13

Much as I want to say it's too late and you are en route for Davy Jones' Locker, my sympathies are prevailing.

Wassup, lovey?

OP posts:
HotCrossJins · 05/05/2011 11:14

I have been tipped off that I will be de-jobbed.

Ironic really

Hullygully · 05/05/2011 11:15

Oh Jins! Is it too late to start the nursing course this yr?

OP posts:
HotCrossJins · 05/05/2011 11:17

Sadly yes. They have confirmed that I would need to apply again and gave the strong impression that I was just filling a place in any case :-(

I'll freelance for a bit and decide what to do after my holiday in August. At least I'll be around to see DS1 through the GCSE trauma

Hullygully · 05/05/2011 11:20

That sounds a good plan.

Ds is about to do his re mock so I am now an expert on Jewish Law. Do you think there are jobs in that?

OP posts:
HotCrossJins · 05/05/2011 11:23

There's jobs in everything it's just finding them. TBH I should have gone freelance years ago but I fancied the easy life with the regular paychecks.

I'm looking forward to claiming JSA though! Got it earmarked for my sky direct debit :-)

Hullygully · 05/05/2011 11:44

You're right. Iam self-employed, can't recommend it highly enough.

OP posts:
HotCrossJins · 05/05/2011 12:19

I am worried that I won't be able to moan about my boss :(

Hullygully · 05/05/2011 13:40

I moan about myself. It's very effective because then I can tell myself off too. Sometimes I give myself time off (quite often) or a little choccy reward. It's a great system.

OP posts:
HotCrossJins · 05/05/2011 14:03

Actually I'm liking the sound of this more and more. Especially the time off.

I've never been very good at management so I fear that I might take advantage. Still I respond very well to praise so hopefully that will keep me in line.

Hullygully · 05/05/2011 14:08

See? You're really getting in the swing!

OP posts:
HotCrossJins · 05/05/2011 14:10

I even have clients!!! Just need to be de-jobbed now!

Hullygully · 05/05/2011 14:12

Hurray! Any hopes of pay-offs?

OP posts:
HotCrossJins · 05/05/2011 14:16

Should be something coming. I've done 5 years and I've held onto my annual leave just in case.
