christian lady has written a book claiming jesus can cure homosexuality

I'm not getting into the debate of wether there is a God/Jesus etc. It just this has really mad me angry, how can you cure something that is NOT an illness. I find this extremely insulting and judgemental.

Fortunately, they are not representing all Christians. There are many gay Christians, and many Christians who are gay-friendly.

My mum's side of the family are Christian (my mum and grandad excepted) and they are the only area of the whole family tree to have gay relatives. They do not expect a miracle cure from jesus thankfully, because they are not barking mad. They simply accept, celebrate and treat each other like family.

YANBU. My friend is very religious. She believes it is wrong to be gay. Jesus/God/Tinkerbelle/Whoever made them that way to 'test them' and if they act on their desires they fail. Pretty fucking mean God imo.

my DH is christian and has no issue with homosexuality however my pils are also christian and are extremely homophobic and vocal about it but claim to be tolerant .

I abhor anything that teaches individual to discriminate against others due to matters they have no control over i.e sexuality/ethnicity etc. and that is exactly what this book is doing

If god creates people, then he creates some of them homosexual. so clearly he doesn't think it's wrong.
