I earn just shy of £30k, with a another few thou on top for a car allowance.

I work a 35 hour week, but regularly put in around 40-45 hours, and do not get overtime.

LoisSanger · 20/02/2011 11:45

It depends what I'm doing.

As an invigilator about £7.50 an hour
As an exam marker £285 a day

I don't do either of those full time - would be nice in some ways if I did the second one full time though.

BuzzLiteBeer · 20/02/2011 11:45

I'm a PA, work 37 hrs a week, have a degree in nothing relevant to my industry, done the job since leaving uni virtually

44k a year plus bonuses somewhere between 8 and 12k pa

Sounds good, reality I have to almost wipe the arses of absolute arseholes

Tee2072 · 20/02/2011 11:57

I'm just finishing my first year of self employment as a freelance graphic artist. I will earn about £6,000 this year working between 4 and 10 hours a week, depending on my work load.

happybubblebrain · 20/02/2011 11:59

I work full-time and earn just under £16,000. I've been in the same job for nearly 10 years and I haven't had any kind of a pay rise for 7 years - I'm very unlikely to get one ever again. There are no perks to my job either. I'm told (by my employer) that I should think myself lucky that I have a job. I have lots of qualifications, including 3 diplomas and a degree. I don't consider myself lucky at all.

OohGoOnThen · 20/02/2011 11:59

social worker
8.5 years post qualification
17k per annum gross for 2.5days/week

dwpanxt · 20/02/2011 12:00

Full time 37.5 hpw.

Taking a load of shite from disgruntled people who haven't had their benefits paid in time.

And all for the princely sum of £16.300 before tax.

See - civil servants are all way overpaid Hmm
