I work 3 days a week 9-5 and earn £52k.

I am a tax accountant working as group tax manager at a firm of stockbrokers in Central London.

Have been working for around 15 years and salary now is pretty much the same as 10 years ago except now I work 3 days rather than 5.

candlebythewindow · 20/02/2011 12:01

I work a few days a month and earn about £12,000/year. If I worked full-time doing what I do I'd earn nearer to £40,000/year.

ShinyMoonInAPurpleSky · 20/02/2011 12:20

£20k doing 35 hours a week.

I'm freelance and earn £200-250 a day but work part time. So some weeks I earn £200, others £1,000.

hartey · 20/02/2011 12:31

For four days a week I get 38.4k - am hoping for a bump in salary as almost qualified chartered accountant. I don't feel like I am paid well in my industry but know I am better off than most!

sillymummy72 · 20/02/2011 12:33

It fluctuates with commission but around £44k (contracted 35 hours but reality = 50+ hours no overtime)
DH earns £58k + bonuses.

Andwellwasi · 20/02/2011 12:35

Is CSA, child benefit and tax credits counted as income?

sillymummy72 · 20/02/2011 12:38

Don't know Andwellwasi?? Never had any so not sure how it works. Oh apart from CB but that goes straight to DC's bank account so we don't count it.

WipsGlitter · 20/02/2011 12:38

About £32k for 28 hours a week. Plus allowances.

MaeMobley · 20/02/2011 12:39

I am an accountnt.

ssd · 20/02/2011 12:42

Before I had my little one and left work I was on 35K for a 37h week. Felt very fortunate to have a good well-paid job. I miss my job Sad

happiestblonde · 20/02/2011 12:46

Not enough. About £28k but then with the rent I make from renting out property a further £20k or so, I'm 22 with a Masters Degree and do shed loads of voluntary work. High outgoings though.
