to think fucking Braveheart is the most wankingly awful film every made

DP has got it on - every so often I look up at Mel Gibson's vile face and blowdry and hurl insults at the screen.

it's just bloody awful, with the Doogie Howsers wierd SS type uniform and the giant alien Thingy that looked like a fanjo! It was just totally bizarre, and then they made a sequel!

Oh I LOVE Starship Troopers. You have to see all the American youth as the nazi types, and the cockroachy aliens as the goodies, then it makes sense (plus is funny in a piss taking way I think).

I quite like Paul Verhoeven films - I have a sneaky soft sport for Showgirls and Basic Instinct.

DH has just expressed amazement that 2012 is still on even though he is sitting in front of it doing nothing else and has said that not only would we have had a row if I'd made him see it in the cinema but that the row would have erupted in the cinema.

Mike from neighbours girlfriend was Jane, played by Annie Jones, who was originally called Anneka Jancisca (I remember this from reading an interview with her in Smash Hits circa 1988)

WHY do I remember that, but cannot remember where the MOT certificate for my car is?

Never seen Braveheart and I'm Scottish and very patriotic. Think I avoided it because I hate all that "we're Scottish and hate the English" crap. I live in a small Highland village,lots of English living here. Some are wankers, most are lovely.
As for Independance Day, I thought it was the most brilliant bad film I've ever seen. So there.

As for Mel Gibson: who would you rather be stuck in a lift with, him or Charlie Sheen? I lie awake at night sweating over that one.

I remember Plain Jane Superbrain as well, she had blonde hair and black eyebrows. But I didn't know her real name was Anna Jancisca, so thanks GetOrf, that is now filed

GOD Charlie Sheen is vile. Mind you I watched Wall Street last week - he was really, really good in that. Such a shame.
