Is 32 too young for botox?

I'm interested. I have a friend who has told me she has botox. She is beautiful and only 30-32.
I have noticed since I had my 3 rd baby a few months ago that my nose to mouth lines are more noticeable...it bothers me and since speaking to friend am considering going to the clinic with her.
My mum and other friends think it's ridiculous to start on this path so young a la Jordan, and have changed their opinion on friend since hearing she has botox/facial peels etc
Is it unreasonable to consider cosmetic procedures this young/at all?

I expect her baby has its tache lasered off and and an alkili wash for the soft downy stuff.

Alouiseg · 10/02/2011 20:29

Lady Biscuit i have looked at your profile page and you look about 5... go to bed now and let the old hags grown ups talk.

traceybath · 10/02/2011 20:29

Yes what Alouiseg says.

I looked like I was perfectly squinting.

But I've had what would be termed botox-lite - so can still move forehead and the person I saw doesn't like to give you the frozen look. Although some people actively request that.

Alouiseg · 10/02/2011 20:30

Getorf, she has a clinic in London if you can be arsed with the trek.

midori1999 · 10/02/2011 20:31

If you want it done and a (good) surgeon agrees you need it, then get it done. Do go to a proper cosmetic surgeon though, not just a clinic, it looks awful if not done properly.

A friend recently told me she'd been having it for years, you really would never know, her face is very natural looking.

Women dye their hair and wear make up all the time minor cosmetic procedures with low risk aren't overly different to that IMO.

GetOrfMoiLand · 10/02/2011 20:32

How much have you been quoted ALouise?

London is only down the road really, mind you would I look slightly astonishing driving back looking like I have been stung by bees? Mind you my aunty lives in Chigwell.

Haven't really seen anyone decent in this neck of the woods.

Alouiseg · 10/02/2011 20:37

I havn't but i think it starts at £200 for one area. Perlane is about £360 for 1 syringe and i cant remember the rest. Her East Bergholt clinic is about 45 minutes north of Chigwell.

:o skips off

Wink

In all honesty, I'm scared. But I also think 32 is a bit young. Post a pic up then GOML and I will let you know if I think you're haggled haggered knackered enough looking to be considering it at your tender years. Is it the country air I wonder?

AnyFucker · 10/02/2011 20:55

< sets up clinic >

I kinda have medical experience

I will part you from your money, because you alllllll need your faces rearranged

dead right

seeminglyso · 10/02/2011 20:56

Two women I know have been having it as a preventative measure since they were 27 (n0w 32. When you start it though it will be something you have to keep up as you will get addi cted to it. Nobody will notice you have had it done unless your hagged and then you look all fresh faced but at your age I seriously doubt it!

GetOrfMoiLand · 10/02/2011 20:57

I am not paying you a monkey to clip me round the ear, AF Grin

Am not posting up a pic for you all to point and laugh at Grin

catinboots · 10/02/2011 20:58

I've had it since I was 26 in the furrow between my brows (DH calls it my 'coin slot')

Just started having it around my eyes too.

I can still move my face - I just look freh and less tired

catinboots · 10/02/2011 20:58

*fresh

Alouiseg · 10/02/2011 21:11

Paging Dr AnyFucker

No thanks :o

AnyFucker · 10/02/2011 21:50

I can rearrange your face...

adamschic · 10/02/2011 22:03

I'm shocked at people having botox so young. When will it stop and how much will you spend on it to keep it up for 30/40 years.

I am (whispers) 50 this year and don't have a cats bum mouth, even though I've smoked since age 13, (haven't had a cig since monday yay!) I do think that people are imagining stuff going on at such a young age.

I can remember looking at Sharon Osborne at my age and tbh, although she had all that surgery etc you could still tell how old she was.

A1980 · 10/02/2011 22:40

There have been two cases in the papers recently involving fuck ups with cosemtic procedures. You should come to my office sometime and learn about the number of client's I've acted for with botched cosmetic surgery et al claims.

YOu certainly don't need botox at 30-32.

One of my colleageus has it done, I KNOW she does although she swears she doesn't. She's younger than me, only 28, but her face in absolutely mark and crease free and her eyes and forehead don't even crease when she frowns or smiles. It looks bloody weird and she permanently looks like a deer caught in the headlights and has the same expression constantly.

Stepford wives comes to mind.
