Chocolate mousse is nicer if you stir the bubbles out.

candleshoe · 07/02/2011 22:59

Oh and if you like Jim Davidson I will assume that you are full of hatred for everyone that isn't exactly like you

Euwww Yuk - fake strawberry - NO!

StealthPolarBear · 07/02/2011 23:01

yeah that's the argument :o
I don;t know, I read the book expecting to decide he was a total racist prick, but finished it with the conclusion that he is a complete car geek who can't really work himself up to hating any group of people other than caravan owners (which I suppose in itself is racist) but then again I'd imagine that's exacty the image his PR team want to project, and I'd imagine they edited the book before it was released :o
I will try to find the bit I mean because I was really surprised - very anti Daily Mail

muminthecity · 07/02/2011 23:01

candleshoe - Congratulations! PM me your address and I'll send a medal straight out to you

Asteria · 07/02/2011 23:02

My ex SIL got me at a weak moment and tried to force controlled crying on my 11 day old DS - I didn't allow her near him again. Admittedly I left her brother 3 months later and never returned, but even if I was still there I wouldn't let her touch him - whole family were emotional retards who regarded children as something to be controlled. To a certain extent yes, but not totally and in every possible aspect.

StealthPolarBear · 07/02/2011 23:02

Now Jim Davidson is someone I could happily slap

candleshoe · 07/02/2011 23:02

Thanks muminthecity

muminthecity · 07/02/2011 23:03

SPB - You may be right, I haven't read his book, either way I still think he's a twat of the highest order!

Davidson was from a different era - he is irrelevant to popular culture today! Clarkson who is relevant to popluar culture may or may not be a racist BUT his books are not racist(I read two).

candleshoe · 07/02/2011 23:07

I think men in general should be grateful and a little bit scared.

Pan · 07/02/2011 23:07

Clarkson had his books written for him. He couldn't be trusted.

TheButterflyCollector · 07/02/2011 23:08

One of my dearest friends is black. And Welsh. And vegetarian. With an American husband. (And Catholic, come to that). She's an after-sales manager in a dealership and worships at the altar of all things Clarkson. I'd lay a pretty penny that he'd like her too, given the chance to meet her.

muminthecity · 07/02/2011 23:09

"Clarkson had his books written for him. He couldn't be trusted."

Grin

Sounds more likely!

StealthPolarBear · 07/02/2011 23:09

well then that doesn't surprise me
In which case the writer isn't racist but he may be

Pan · 07/02/2011 23:10

I DID make that up, you know. Just sounded good, and probably accurate.Smile

BitOfFun · 07/02/2011 23:11

Lol @ 'English Lite grad' though, LeQueen Grin

Tortington · 07/02/2011 23:11

lees beer and pubs in general are shit

candleshoe · 07/02/2011 23:12

Probably slanderous

StealthPolarBear · 07/02/2011 23:12
