20k would make life much nicer.

a nice car.

a nice holiday

pay some bills

a couple in the bank for a rainy day.

It doesn't seem a huge amount, or excessively greedy.

AIBU? or greedy?

yanbu, £20k would be very very useful for me too. Fed up of being so poor I can't even afford new underwear and still have to wear my horrible old maternity undercrackers :(

FabbyChic · 03/02/2011 21:25

Jeez Id be happy with 10k or even 5k

YankNCock · 03/02/2011 21:25

I need about £100k according to Quicken. That would bring my net worth to zero.

stupid USA student loans.

muggglewump · 03/02/2011 21:25

£8 and I'd be debt free, anymore than that would make my life better.

AtYourCervix · 03/02/2011 21:25

it's enough that it is never going to happen but it would be nice.

AtYourCervix · 03/02/2011 21:28

id settle for £2 (BIG bar of chocolate) Blush Grin

TmiEdward · 03/02/2011 21:33

We've just got the new car, which is why I'd need the £20k.
In fact, make that £50k and then I'd pay off everything but the mortgage and put the rest aside for the DC's university fees.

hf128219 · 03/02/2011 21:34

We could all give what we can afford to each other. Mathematically it could work.

headfairy · 03/02/2011 21:35

Yeah, right, I believe you Hmm

You'll pocket the £80k or so and we won't see you for dust!

southeastastra · 03/02/2011 21:35

really? i could post a tenner at the most after pay day Grin

AnnoyingOrange · 03/02/2011 21:35

If anyone has £200,000 to spare, I'd quite like it please

Xenia · 03/02/2011 21:35

It's never enough. But more seriously could you not earn it? There's nothing special about me that means I can earn what I do. Could you take a second job or write a book or think up a business idea?

You could market some stuff I sell on 10% commission.

porcine · 03/02/2011 21:35

I always keep £20 savings just in case

porcine · 03/02/2011 21:35

£20k lol

mackereltaitai · 03/02/2011 21:36

expatinscotland · 03/02/2011 21:37

BuzzLightBeer · 03/02/2011 21:37
