To be out off Mumsnet by certain men on here?

I love this site...but it's called MUMSNET...I know and accept there are some regular male posters...and they should benefit from the site as they're parents too...but some men here have massive agendas and only post in threads related to sex..teenage girls and other similar things.

I KNOW they can't be banned...but it really ANNOYS me when they clutter the place up! AIBU?

How ridiculous. Maybe they have teenage daughters and some of the difficult areas for parenting for dad's are sex/emotions/periods, etc. Fgs. What do you expect them to be posting in DIY only?

WimpleOfTheBallet · 03/02/2011 19:14

Ok ok....but I DO feel that I can't relax as easily..it's like when you're a your friends house and it's only the girls...and then her DH comes in and the conversation isn't as easy anymore.

As it's mumsnet, perhaps we should weed out those pesky non-parents too?

WimpleOfTheBallet · 03/02/2011 19:15

Why don't they use Dadsnet then Hobgoblin?

I am not sure what a Paedophile would get from talking to single mothers, and surely MN is not a dating site.

I have not noticed any such pervtastic behaviour but, if a thread is of a particularly overt sexual nature then of course it is going to attract the odd passing schoolboy.

I thought the very same today Wimple some of the male posters are really interesting but some of the recent lot have irritated me beyond belief. I don't think that there is anything that can be done about it but I am gnu to start reporting the obvious pervs.

(Not the regular ones obviously ;-)

WimpleOfTheBallet · 03/02/2011 19:18

yogi...they try t befrind them in the hope they can meet them...form a relaionship and get to know their kids.

YABU.

hobbgoblin · 03/02/2011 19:18

Isn't that the chatty bit for them though? And what if they want to educate themselves a bit by joining a discussion outside of the dadsnet topic?

BaroqueAroundTheClock · 03/02/2011 19:18

Well I vote to keep NetworkGuy if we're going to weed a few out - he's been my techy saviour at ungodly hours of the morning - often with really odd and vague questions Grin

Maisiethemorningsidecat · 03/02/2011 19:18

There are some female trolls and arses on here too, you know!

Alouiseg · 03/02/2011 19:18

Gnu!!?? Obviously I meant "going to" Blush

WimpleOfTheBallet · 03/02/2011 19:19
