dress looks like green pus filled corpuscles.was that the look you were after

pizzadelivery · 26/01/2011 23:27

Not too bad since smoking has been banned inside, however would out 'absolutlely no smoking' on your invitations as there is always a random guest (with a cig) standing behind you in one the outside photos Grin

ShortandCurly · 26/01/2011 23:36

Just be careful to take it off before DH gets too amorous on the wedding night. Too much friction and you could end up stuck to the ceiling with static.

thumbdabwitch · 26/01/2011 23:50

at least if you fall in the river you'll float....

Rootatoot · 27/01/2011 00:11

If they are balloons, be careful with static! Might give you 'hair' issues.

I reckon if you are even considering wearing a dress like that then your hubbie to be and friends must know that it is a possiblity surely? I can't imagine you dress in a conservative way on a day to day. Just don't do it 'to be different'. Make sure you feel great in it and comfortable. The fact you are upset by what family and people on the forum think says to me that perhaps you are not convinced or you wouldn't be seeking approval? Just be sure YOU love it and you can carry it off with confidence :)

Hellebore1 · 27/01/2011 10:12

If you like the dress go for it. But on a practical note how are you going to sit down, go to the loo etc. Unless you are walking to the ceremony you have a problem. Hellebore1

MoonGirl1981 · 27/01/2011 10:16

That dress is freaking fabulous!!!

QuintessentialShadows · 27/01/2011 10:21

You need a green pearl necklace to complement it.

rockinhippy · 27/01/2011 10:31

Sod what ANYONE says, its your wedding, you do what YOU want

& for the record I too think thats a really creative & fabulous looking dress, & I'm a bridal wear designer (well sometimes at leastGrin)

Its not to everyones taste though, most people are just not that adventurous, but if you are, then ultimately its your choice, though if you are genuinely THAT adventurous, I really don't get why you are so bothered by what anyone else thinks Confused, makes me wondr if this if "for real" Hmm

IF it is though.... from a practical point of view if you were a client of mine, I think I would steer you well away from the balloons, as I suspect after a few hours(if your lucky) your not going to have much of a dress left & might well turn out to be the ultimate inBlushBlushBlush brides[grin

Heifer · 27/01/2011 10:38

You can get your guests to draw smiley faces on each one and keep as a keepsake..

Just imagine in 10 years time, looking at your dress, seeing 100s of deflated looking snot filled condoms with wonky faces and reminising of the lovely day you had.

Works for me

can I be the first to Grin on one

TragicallyHip · 27/01/2011 10:38

I'm quite partial to this

Maybe get that for Saturday night down me local..

IWantToBeAFairyWhenIGrowUp · 27/01/2011 13:33

Of course you can wear what you like to your own wedding, so in that respect YANBU.

However if it's opinions you are after, mine is it's hideous.

I liked the white one Loopy linked to though.

KalokiMallow · 27/01/2011 13:50

I quite like it Blush though not in green.

But then I love really OTT outfits

chelstonmum · 27/01/2011 14:09

Perhaps a silly question.............but, A. How do you sit down? B. How do you go to the loo and C. Have you showed the groom? x

sleeplessinseatle · 27/01/2011 14:25

OP
If that is really YOUR wedding dress, why have you taken the photo of it off the Wedinator website?

It says Wedinator at the bottom of the photo, and it is a website for looking at other people's wedding stuff and taking the p*ss out of it.

Confused.

Whenever I get invited to a fancy dress party I tend to go as a bunch of grapes. It is just the easiest and cheapest costume to pull together - lots of green (or purple) balloons attached to a shift and a pair of green tights. I generally look like an eejit but that's often what fancy dress parties are about. Weddings on the other hand ......

jonicomelately · 27/01/2011 14:42

OP. You have a LABRADOODLE. Do not let the dog anywhere near the dress Grin
