MsKlo, that's actually rather hurtful

I've seen it now. I have a feeling that it's one of those catwalk only type outfits that wouldn't stand up to the rigours of a full wedding.

However... if you do decide to go for it, I think you should post a few wedding pics throughout the day so that we can all see how it 'went down' Grin

MarioandLuigi · 26/01/2011 22:37

Its erm, different.

Looks more like an alien costume from Dr Who in the 1980's than a wedding dress, but each to thier own.

Limara · 26/01/2011 22:38

Yeah, it's official, not many people like it. I like the spirit of it though, would be good for marketing event and I'm being serious. Not wedding IMO but hey ho!

FlickingTheBean · 26/01/2011 22:38

And what if one of your guests has a latex allergy? or the DCs are scared?

KickArseQueen · 26/01/2011 22:38

What about something like this??

Appletrees · 26/01/2011 22:38

this is not a real thread Grin

however

have you considered that in this dress you will need to sit, kneel, walk, wear jewellery with catches, get in a car, kiss people with sharp nails, hold some prickly flowers

and so on and so forth

Limara · 26/01/2011 22:38

This thread has perked me up so thank you Grin

tribpot · 26/01/2011 22:39

Shrek-tastic.

whydobirdssuddenlyappear · 26/01/2011 22:39

I like it. I wouldn't wear it, but that's because the gap between my taste and my ability to carry off the sort of clothes I actually like is so massively huge.

Apologies for brief hijack, but appletrees, how are you today? Did you get the car sorted?

LacksDaisies · 26/01/2011 22:39

"Would people seriously laugh at a bride on her big day?"

Not to her face, but sadly, yes! Or merrily, yes, if you are serious about wearing that frock!

ShortandCurly · 26/01/2011 22:39

Oh god nobody likes it and I have already paid for it! It was a fortune and non refundable

OP posts:
Limara · 26/01/2011 22:39

Appletrees, she not told you about the horse back arrival? No?

TragicallyHip · 26/01/2011 22:39

By all means wear it but you cannot expect no one to laugh. Not everyone will share your taste and it is an exceptionally unusual dress!

RIZZ0 · 26/01/2011 22:40

Tell em to pea off.

LacksDaisies · 26/01/2011 22:41

and have you considered that no-one will be able to hear you say your vows as every move will produce that god-awful squeaking noise that ballons make when rubbed?

suesfault · 26/01/2011 22:41

Its your wedding and you can wear whatever you like but it surely can't be a surprise to you that other people might think it a very unusual choice.

I wouldn't feel comfortable in something so different but if you can cope with people sniggering then go for it.

TragicallyHip · 26/01/2011 22:41

That cost a fortune?? Really?? [bhmm]

Appletrees · 26/01/2011 22:42

ho ho limara I want an invitation

basically op the children are going to treat it like bubblewrap

heck the parents are going to treat it like bubble wrap

I suspect the vicar might even have a go

KurriKurri · 26/01/2011 22:42

What did you wear to the first three weddings?

Dylthan · 26/01/2011 22:42

Well I was nice and supportive to you on the other thread until you asked for help with your bridesmaid dresses and were rude about my suggestions.

Appletrees · 26/01/2011 22:42

hey you could get the world's greatest amount of wedding static! your hair will be in the belfry

QuickLookBusy · 26/01/2011 22:44

Don't let anyone hug you too tight, they could get a bit of an eyeful.

Are you walking down the aisle to "Up up and away"?

ShortandCurly · 26/01/2011 22:44

Oh the squeaking won't be a problem lacksdaisie, I am very good at standing still, I always won musical statues at parties
