I think sex is for reproduction, and that's how God intended it. I also make conscious decisions, I don't think God approves of gays, despite loving them.

Thankfully, I don't own a hotel so I don't have to debate about accommodating them...nor do I have to justify my religious beliefs to people on the internet :D

Yet he seems to have chosen so many of them to represent Him in churches all over the country/world. And he doesn't seem to have marked out them out especially for disfavour, does he?

What if there is a gay person who is full of humility, cares for the poor, gives away his/her money to look after sick children? Would God really look on them less favourably than a straight person who does none of those things, just because Person 2 is having theoretically the right kind of sex?

If sex is only for reproduction are you also opposed to contraception and post-menopausal sex?

Well it says sex is a gift for married couples-to celebrate their bodies and reproduce.

I personally don't use contraception and am no where near menopause so I can't answer that bit.

I'd like to know why you would refuse a room to a gay couple and not to a woman wearing a coat of two threads, or a man who eats prawns? All of these activities are frowned upon in Leviticus, none more than others.

Oh, I've come across this before, with an American Protestant. It was Lent and I asked him if he was going to do anything for it (charity work etc.) and he replied with a sneery look on his face, because I was so ignorant, "I will get into Heaven because of my faith, not because of my good works". And I'm afraid that I thought "No, you won't dear, will you?". He was an arse though.

I am very interested to know how a Christian knows which bits of the Bible really are the word of God and which bits can be conveniently ignored. Doesn't the Bible contradict itself?
