Yes. I am overthinking.

This is what girls do, isn't it. Overthink. Fret. Overthink. Fret. While they just blithely go on with their lives.

Or maybe no one will ever love me again because I am too much like hard work however much they fancy me.

If you have too much time on your hands, Mimi, and find yourself dwelling overmuch, you can always pop down to Newington Green for a couple of hours and give me a hand with these here pamphlets

MadameDefarge · 23/02/2011 09:48

Happily ds is here, and I have to open the cafe and cook in an hour.

I feel such a twit.

SpringHeeledJack · 23/02/2011 09:52

...fwiw, if he's a bit silent today, it's because he had an absolute blast last night (snogging in the lift Shock) and has come back down to RL with a bump this morning.

Everything has developed a straaaange and dreamlike quality for him, and he can't quite believe his luck...

(and he's knackered and hungover)

I'd bet cold, hard cash that he'll be in touch.

[usually right on This Sort Of Thing emoticon]

Hullygully · 23/02/2011 09:56

You MUST NOT send the money back. You MUST NOT contact him again because you sent the last email.

I do hate Rule things, but one mustn't appear desperate (apparently)

I once had a date (all right one night stand) with someone and the next day wrote a great long letter about how cool I was with it and I didn't care if that was it etc, but I just wanted to know becuase I didn't want to be messed around...pages of it, popped it through said person's letter box, got back home and found them on the doorstep.

Made him promise to put said letter in bin without opening it - yeah, that was likely.

Moral: Rusheth Not.

I'm swooning off to Belgium at a very critical time here.

I hope the wifi is free then I can keep up phonewise.

Just had a very shouty admin person on the phone wanting all my certificates . Haven't been spoken to like that in years!!!! Hope that this isn't the way things will be for the future

Hullygully · 23/02/2011 10:16

Glad you found your hotel, then Jins..have fun eat choc.

Oh yes, you're in the army now, you know.

OP posts:
SpringHeeledJack · 23/02/2011 10:19

I love Belgium

..where are you going, Jins? all work, or some fun?

SpringHeeledJack · 23/02/2011 10:19

sorry

MadameDefarge · 23/02/2011 10:21

I am running a bath, and had a fun speed connect four session with ds, who surprised me by telling me all about the Borgias.

SpringHeeledJack · 23/02/2011 10:23

has he been playing Assassins Creed? ds now very well informed

Grin

am getting him Machiavelli for his birthday

SpringHeeledJack · 23/02/2011 10:24

sorry

PrincessFiorimonde · 23/02/2011 10:54

Mimi, glad you had a fun evening - and please do listen to all advice here! Agree with Jack that he can't quite believe his luck. Hold your nerve, lady.

Oh Hully, your earnest letter to long-ago lover sounds just like something I would have done.

Have a good time in Belgium, Jins. Where you going? And good luck with shouty person. ( at Hully's "You're in the army now".) Can't remember the last time I had to show my certificates to anyone...

Love the Hyperbole stuff, Widow. Particularly liked the one about the wolf game the other day.

MadameDefarge · 23/02/2011 12:27

I'm feeling a tad better. neurofen and cola usually does the trick. I think Hully is right, if I am too much for him then its better to know now. after, all the loveliness is a spechul gift, he has to deserve it.

Still feel an idiot

Hullygully · 23/02/2011 12:31

I bet you (theory worked out on a wet dog walk)that he is thinking that today is about his girls and concentrating on them and all that, and he will be in touch later/tomoz.

Men like compartments (I understand)

You are not allowed to feel an idiot. IPOAT yes, idiot, no.

OP posts:
MadameDefarge · 23/02/2011 12:46

Right. Got the dumping email.

I did freak him out.

So no go.

MadameDefarge · 23/02/2011 12:48

I am gutted.

MadameDefarge · 23/02/2011 12:56

someone, anyone?

I'm not sure I should reply. I think I'll just let it go. I can hardly get away with saying sorry I am a pissed up gal who hits people (apparently I cried too oh the mortification) but my excuse for that was getting ds' diagnosis of dyspraxia confirmed this week.

BeribbonedGibbon · 23/02/2011 13:03

Oh mimi. Do not reply. Delete his mail and kiss the ground in thanks that a man that gets 'freaked out' is not so freaked that he is not able to snog your face off.

I mean what's all that about? Hmm

Of course getting DS's diagnosis will make you emotional. It's your boy. Don't spend one minute being mortified. We would all be the same.

I ahve heard it said you have to kiss many a frog to get your prince.

BeribbonedGibbon · 23/02/2011 13:04

What exactly did he say mimi?

MadameDefarge · 23/02/2011 13:06

"I need to regroup a bit... I was enjoying myself last night and then
it all went very weird. Big tears, slaps and things. Don't claim to
undersand what was going on, but I was wigged out to be honest. I have
just come out of a few extremely tough and bizarre months with
(my ex) and I need a little sanity and light relief in my life, and
last night started as both and ended as neither.
Really don't think I can handle this at the minute.
Sorry but I need different things in my life at the minute."

BeribbonedGibbon · 23/02/2011 13:13

Well to be fair to him, he had the decency to send an honest and polite mail. God it's hard because on one hand you want to delete it and forget about him and on the other you want to say 'hold on, our first date landed in an emotional week and I don't make a habit out of weeping and slapping people'

Sorry you are feeling gutted my lovely Sad
