Twas an Aviva one for life insurance. Family getting ready for holiday, all jolly, then suddenly the dad disappears and you realise he is DEAD. DD was on my lap and kept hugging me when she saw my tears. Anyone else see it?

Haven't seen it but doesn't sound like an advert I would like to see!

Mouseface · 17/01/2011 20:34

Not seen this but the new Co-Op one gets me, with the chap talking to his wife about not wanting to do the big shop at the weekend.

[saddo emoticon] Grin

I got all uspet at the new advert for Butlins, where the big crocodile (dinosaur?) makes a new friend, who leaves him at the end of the week. I kept saying 'But he's been left ALL ALONE' to DH who gave me these faces Hmm Confused

CubaCat · 17/01/2011 20:38

I love the Butlins ad, with the big green, erm, thing. I think it's really touching and the music is lovely.

CubaCat · 17/01/2011 20:39

Cross posts with tasteslikepanda who is clearly as soppy as I am.

Haven't seen it but I always used to well up at the John Lewis advert, showing the baby growing up and having kids of her own and so and so on.

bronze · 17/01/2011 20:42

Do you have to be pregnant to blub at random adverts? Blush

HumphreyCobbler · 17/01/2011 20:43

I was shocked when I saw that speeding advert "Kill your speed.....or Live with it" where the man keeps seeing the body of the boy everywhere he goes.

A brilliant advert but so so sad and upsetting.

toeragsnotriches · 17/01/2011 20:43

The cancer research one with the real people really crying makes me totally break down. And the race for life one with the people with the vests on saying who they're racing for (am getting a bit teary now!)

Bit gross the dead father one's for life insurance. I guess fear sells though, eh?

GroovyGretel · 17/01/2011 20:44

Ooh, can I join this new club?

I am an officially sad advert sobber - have been for years. In my (sadly long distant) sixth form years there used to be one that Barclays ran about giving a loan to some old soldiers to go and visit their fallen comrades in war memorials.

Sob x one million. Blush

scotlass · 17/01/2011 20:46

the boots sunscreen one used to make me teary

think it made me think of DD and realise how quickly they grow

The co-op one gets me aswell - sigh!
Also I love to watch the 3 mobile viral ad of all the people singing at the airport. Makes me cry everytime. I am not pregnant. Maybe I need to get out a bit more....Grin

RiojaLover75 · 17/01/2011 20:47

I too am a sad ad sobber Grin, I sometimes even search out these things that I know will make me cry, if I'm in one of those moods where I need a good blub.

WhyHavePets · 17/01/2011 20:47

Lol, i saw this thread a few minutes ago but didn't click. Then saw the Aviva add and thought "Ooh, bet that thread was about this!" and lo and and behold Grin

It is a good one!

RiojaLover75 · 17/01/2011 20:48

debka · 17/01/2011 20:51

The NSPCC adverts always get me.'Miles is a quiet baby'.Sad

AgentZigzag · 17/01/2011 20:52

I don't cry at adverts

But if I did, it'd be at that really sad donkey one who hasn't got a friend and needs help.

I'm not even particularly into donkeys, but it really tugs at me.

debka · 17/01/2011 20:54
