Have you seen this

The Royal Wedding is a glorious excuse to pish tax payers money down the swanney on the excuse that it might "cheer us all up".

And that doll looks nothing like Kate Middleton.

OP posts:
CatIsSleepy · 17/01/2011 13:19

hahhahahaha! those dolls are so much cuter than the real royal family Grin

belgo · 17/01/2011 13:21

Grin I might have to buy that for my dc!

WinterChillita · 17/01/2011 13:24

My only problem with it is that Prince Philip has no arms. Come on, who doesn't love a royal wedding?

MrsChemist · 17/01/2011 13:25

A sick and twisted part of me wants those dolls Grin Happyland should do more events, like Happyland Olympics with mini versions of the actual athletes.

charliesmommy · 17/01/2011 13:32

I think its a good way to involve children in current affairs. There is going to be nothing but wedding talk on the news now for the next few weeks anyway.

belgo · 17/01/2011 13:33

Charliesmommy - I had some wonderful Ladybird books of Charles and Diana's wedding.

belgo · 17/01/2011 13:34

As for cashing in, most shops will try and cash in in some way. They would be stupid not to.

spidookly · 17/01/2011 13:36

I will hear nothing said against our extra day off this year.

PieMinister · 17/01/2011 13:47

A corgi and a snub nosed horse! Delightful ...

stewmaker · 17/01/2011 13:49

i WANT them Grin

ashamedandconfused · 17/01/2011 13:50

I actually think it's cute

BUT - will they do refunds in the event of a divorce? Grin

I know I had an email asking if I wanted to pre order it haha Grin

2blessed2bstressed · 17/01/2011 14:00

I'm going to buy a set, keep it in its original packaging and put it in the loft for my great grandchildren to discover and then take on Antiques Roadshow (or whatever it's called in the future), they'll make a fortune!

yousankmybattleship · 17/01/2011 14:01

Haha! I love it. That's quite a big corgi.

pumperspumpkin · 17/01/2011 14:02

I don't care what you say - I love 'em.

I had the Ladbybird book too belgo and in my old bedroom at home there is still my cardboard dress up Diana doll with cardboard dresses to put on her including her wedding dress.

waitwhat · 17/01/2011 14:05

Totally ordering them tomorrow! Who wouldn't want to play with the queen and a giant corgi?!!

maxybrown · 17/01/2011 14:07

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 17/01/2011 14:08

jetgirl · 17/01/2011 14:09

Pumpers - I had the ladybird book and dress up diana
. Was yours a magnetic one with a wand you sort of waved over the dress. I also still have my charles and di mug.

DD will love those dolls!

ApocalypseCheeseToastie · 17/01/2011 14:09

Good value too Wink

MmeLindt · 17/01/2011 14:11

I love them.

The corgi is a bit on the large side though. What has Lizzie been feeding the dogs?

Off to email my mother to buy me a set.

noeyedear · 17/01/2011 14:13

God, I don't even care about the Royal wedding, but I want those! I showed it to my DS, who said 'I want it, now!'
