Have you seen this

The Royal Wedding is a glorious excuse to pish tax payers money down the swanney on the excuse that it might "cheer us all up".

And that doll looks nothing like Kate Middleton.

I love this - I just have to find a way to sneak it past DP, as he hates the royals.

MooMooFarm · 17/01/2011 14:18

I don't give a pap about the royal wedding, but hey, cheers for the day off Grin

belgo · 17/01/2011 14:18

radiohelen I think your thread has back firedSmile

radiohelen · 17/01/2011 14:28

Aw belgo my tongue was wedged in my cheek when I wrote it. I have no intention of picketing the shop on the High Street. I'm not a huge royalist but I do think the whole who-ha around it is a bit much and a bit manipulative.

Personally, I'm loving the commemorative plate that says "It should have been me!" on it. Now that's a souvenir I shall buy. I can just see The Mall lined with women wearing t-shirts saying that waving tissues.... all in jest of course!

Sorry, op, you are going to hate me, but far from boycot, I have just pre-ordered a set.

Grin

How DARE a company make money out of a current event, the thieving bastards Hmm

crisptart · 17/01/2011 16:31

Is it wrong for ME to actually want that, I think it's well cute lol!
I have two boys so they won't be remotely interested in anything so girly lol but I might just buy it for myself! :-)

lucky1979 · 17/01/2011 16:33

Love it. Might have to get it for DD.

OP- do you work for the ELC? Excellent marketing if so ;)

fedupofnamechanging · 17/01/2011 16:37

Going against the vein of the thread here, but I think it's cheap and nasty plastic tat, much like the rest of their stuff.

Sirzy · 17/01/2011 16:41

I think they are fab!

GypsyMoth · 17/01/2011 16:42

charley24 · 17/01/2011 17:39

the queen, prince phillip and the soldier are the same as the sets that have been sold for about 5 years. The groom used to have a top hat tho.

They have changed there already wedding set, to make more into royal.

Strictly · 17/01/2011 17:44

I'm getting DS a set so we can play 'revolution' with them Grin

Mists · 17/01/2011 17:45

I will be getting this to go with it.

Vive la Révolution!
