They would look really nice with her outfit but I am old school and do not normally do high heels in kids.

What is the concensus now, will I face a barrage of disapproving looks from other mums if she wears them?

They are top row, second from left

No

Vile - far too adult, and not nice even for an adult

The Metalic T-bars are much better but TBH I am too much of a snob moany old bag to let an 8 year old wear high heels.

Sorry if this sounds judgy. I can assure you my DD would be in them given half a chance Grin

I'm with hatwoman and kittybutton - wtf is the outfit those hideous shoes I'm with so well?

Just in case it wasn't clear, that's a no from me...:o

Lovecat · 14/01/2011 16:15

I'm = go

Damn phone, mutter mutter...

SaggyHairyArse · 14/01/2011 16:47

What's wrong with colour co-ordinated ballet pumps?

ZillionChocolate · 14/01/2011 17:34

No child of mine will be permitted to wear heels until they are old enough to consider the damage to their knees and backs. (And even then I'd nag and whinge).

Shewhoshallnotbenamed · 14/01/2011 17:47

Wow, my DD aged 7 has 'party' shoes. They look like (what I'd call) flamenco style shoes. They are patent leather and have a heel. She looks lovely in them. With a red shift dress, high necked with flower detailing, from H&M and some cream wooly tights - she looked so lovely.

Not slutty. Not too grown up. Just looked like a smartly dressed child with nice shoes.

The shoes that the OP linked to were a bit OTT for an 8 yo, as I have seen people out on a Friday night wearing them. But I don't see what the problem is with young girls wearing heels, it's hardly cause to call social services is it.

FabbyChic · 14/01/2011 17:49

I did not think the heels were high at all, maybe only an inch.

Just the shoes were the ugliest ever.

Mummy2Bookie · 14/01/2011 17:54

I would. The heel isn't that narrow so I wouldn't have to worry about dd falling and breaking her ankle.

Mummy2Bookie · 14/01/2011 17:55

Plus they don't look too grown up to me.
