According to It's Wiki page it ran from 1993 to 1997 originally.

Everything is just so .... old looking!

My dh loves the one about the mail.

I have much affection for Come Outside. I remember one cold, dark evening , snuggled up with dd on the sofa, watching the bread episode. She must have been about 18 months old, and suddenly announced, 'I love bread.' It was her first sentence

Song-wise, I'm surprised no one has mentioned the episode about (flower) bulbs. 'Best parade we knoooooow'.

I like to watch and see how many different pairs of shoes Aunty Mable and her standins wears during the programme. DD appears not to have noticed this yet. Surely only a matter of time?!

How lovely to discover that Come Outside is still being shown.

Look up, look down, look all around....

My DD is 17 now and she (adn I) adored it when she was small.

Take a close look at the back of auntie's head when she is flying the plane - it's hilarious and makes me smile every time; the male pilot with grey hair wears a shocking Ginger wig! Lol

oooh, yabu!

We have it on series record.

The sewage episode is so funny.

tethersend · 06/01/2011 23:51

Aunty Mabel! Shock

The sewage one is hilarious.

IIRC the Welly factory is Hunter.

I thought there have been several Pippins over the years. I swear Pippin was on Going Live in the 80's Confused.

Come Outside is brilliant. At the risk of sounding ancient - they don't make em like that any more. Seriously, they don't. It's so refreshing to have a program on that nourishes a childs natural curiosity about the world.

CeliaFate · 07/01/2011 11:36

Come Outside is fab! I could watch it even without the dc Grin

DanceInTheDark · 07/01/2011 11:40

tethersand - that's never Auntie Mabel Shock

I loved Aunty Mabel when DD was little - makes me feel all nostalgic - and she learnt so much from it. What do you mean, dated? It was only 10 or so years ago..........
