God knows how much it is in parts of Edinburgh it was that price on Tuesday at some garages.

backwardpossom · 01/01/2011 16:49

Oh, £1.28... haha, I about hit the roof there. Sad to say that it's been that here for quite a few weeks now. Wage freeze and yet the cost of everything still rises. What a big load of horse shite. :(

blueberrysantabait · 01/01/2011 16:49

That was our price before this morning's price hike - I filled up my car yesterday and it is £1.32 this morning BEFORE the VAT rise!

littlerach · 01/01/2011 16:51

£1.33 per litre here yeasterday....presume it will go up again Sad

TheLogLadyMBE · 01/01/2011 17:13

i drive a small plastic car with a 1.2 engine. costs about £50 to fill up from empty now. Mental.

Now, imagine how much food costs will rise due to increased transport costs.

2shoes · 01/01/2011 17:18

it doesn't though Rive, it is paid by the DLA.

expatinscotland · 01/01/2011 17:21

Thing is, Riv, the cost of bus travel will rise, too, so may as well keep the car.

TheLogLadyMBE · 01/01/2011 17:21

expat - that doesn't matter as i have given up food for 2011. i shall restart eating when i am thin. by then i shall have won the lottery.
