fuckity fuck fuck. what with that and parking charges at work going up from £5 a month to £5 a week I'm going to be stony bloody broke.

Wow literally just veg oil from the supermarket ? How much does that save you ?

With veg oil it's got to be distilled or it will cause all sorts of damage to your engine, will also freeze in winter.

They are paying just over £1.40 a litre in Stornoway and some of the other Islands.

Well in sainsburys 1L of veg oil was about £1.45 so the diesel is cheaper! I bet you can bulk buy from somewhere though...

I just paid £1.29/l for diesel and it's going up again tomorrow.

I met a MNetter who runs her car on recycled vegetable oil - pretty sure she gets it from a hotel kitchen or somewhere. Her DH converted the car.

Its now £131.9 at our local garage.
