Kate, Katherine yes
Adrienne yes
Gabrielle or Gabriella nooooo

We are the cheeky girls comes to mind

AlistairSim · 28/12/2010 21:01

I like Kate and Gabriella but Adrienne reminds me of Rocky.

(which I haven't even seen)

tinselthechaffinch · 28/12/2010 21:02

Adrienne, yes,

the others: dullsville.

ItsMeMo · 28/12/2010 21:02

Kate is great.

The others no.

Kate is never wrong, except this year people may think its because of Will's missus.

The other two sound like porn stars to me. Sorry, you said blunt!

faverolles · 28/12/2010 21:02

I don't like any of them.
(is that too blunt?)
Did you know you are in AIBU?

ILoveDolly · 28/12/2010 21:03

Adrienne Adrienne! is a cry she will soon get sick of hearing.........

Kate nice but everyone will assume she's named after Our New Princess - which is only OK if you want it to be!

Gabriella, I like.

pavlovalover · 28/12/2010 21:03

Kate is lovely and classic.
Adrienne feels very dated and a bit frumpy.
Gabrielle - ditto
Gabriella is better, but likely to be one of thousands if you plan on using Ella as a nickname. Gabby is kind of sweet though.

UnderTheRadar2212 · 28/12/2010 21:03

Nice.

For babies born this year, I think Kate will be a popular choice.

Adrienne conjures up images of Stallone in 'Rocky', and Gabrielle is that singer with the eye patch for me.

I associate names with people I know, don't know about anyone else?

Hate these modern 'chav' spellings of normal names, or even just chav names come to that:(

DylthanThroughTheSnow · 28/12/2010 21:04

I like Kate but it may be very popular with the royal wedding coming up. If you don't mind that though I think it's nice.

melezka · 28/12/2010 21:04

But I associate Adrienne with the great poet Adrienne Rich - so that is my favourite.
There seem to be at least 5 Kates (or versions of) in every classroom atm.

Paradis · 28/12/2010 21:05

No to Adrienne or Gabi. Kate of course is lovely, but I'd be careful...

FakePlasticTrees · 28/12/2010 21:05

Kate is going to be v v v popular due to the Will and kate wedding. So there's a risk of 3 of them in the same class at school. if that doesn't bother you, go for it. (And her having a lifetime "Kate, like the princess?")

Other two are lovely.

coccyx · 28/12/2010 21:05

Not keen on any of them

OpenToLawSuits · 28/12/2010 21:06

I think they're all a bit crap. Adrienne makes me think of Rocky and him slurring it through one side of his mouth.

Kat/Kate/Katherine are all a bit dated, Kate being the best but still a bit blah.

Gabrielle/a makes me think of the singer. Gabrielle for a boy on the other hand :)

mankyscotslass · 28/12/2010 21:06

Adrienne... love it, a bit Chalet school Girl's (Adrienne at the Chalet school) [Blush

Kate or Katherine, will for the next 4-5 years be accused of copying the next Princess of Wales.

Gabrielle, shortend to Gabby nooooooooo!o

thisisyesterday · 28/12/2010 21:06

i like Gabrielle and Kate

don't realy like Adrienne much

pointythings · 28/12/2010 21:07

I like Kate (but I have one of those myself so am biased)
The other two - no.

FAOnTelly · 28/12/2010 21:08

Kate is lovely but it needs to be short for a full name - Catherine etc

Prefer Gabriella to Gabrielle

Adrienne is horrid

BarbieLovesKen · 28/12/2010 21:09

Oh shit! I didnt realise I was in AIBU - sorry about that!!! (was wondering why there was so many replies!! - off to read now)

don't like any of them.

and any baby now named kate, well, everyone will think it's because of that girl marrying prince whatsit.

MerryMarigold · 28/12/2010 21:11

I wouldn't know if it was 'Adrienne' like 'Apple' or said like 'Adrian'. If the short 'a' french style then I quite like it.

Kate - boring, a good middle name I think. Seems like an odd choice with your other 2!

Gabriella I like.

jellybeans · 28/12/2010 21:13

Kate LIKE
Adrienne DISLIKE
Gabrielle (or Gabriella) LIKE

LaurieFairyonthetreeEatsCake · 28/12/2010 21:14

I like Gabriella/Gabrielle

I don't like Adrienne as it is too much like my male bil's name

Kate, a nn of my middle name and very boring
