I love my dp but I dont really fancy him,he lets off wind all the time, never makes a effort with his apperance, works all the time ,and when he is home he moans.

I do love him though but just wandered is the norm after 18 years?.

kuckingfunt · 17/12/2010 20:19

I do yes, 10 years on and I fancy DP more than I did when I first met him.

I think a lot of fancying someone is also about the person they are.

DP has never let me down in any way, I really do think I am lucky to have him and am smug when I look at my friends DP's knowing that mine is so much better.

Plus he is phwooooaaaarrr Grin

MogTheForgetfulCat · 17/12/2010 20:20

Definite yes, after 12 years. Sometimes see him across a room (pub, party or whatever) and think 'Ooh, he's rather gorgeous' and then realise it's DH Blush.

And am totally with previous posters re: forearms anf wrists. Also hands.

MogTheForgetfulCat · 17/12/2010 20:21

Gah! Forearms and wrists.

MissTFied · 17/12/2010 20:22

PMSL samey

boobellina · 17/12/2010 20:22

ooo yes and it's been 13 years.

And GlynistheMincePie I go weak at the knees when he mentions the sledgehammer and have been know to persuade him to take off his top just so that I can perve at him.

kuckingfunt · 17/12/2010 20:24

DP in his officer uniform (RAF) ...

Flisspaps · 17/12/2010 20:24

Yes, but we've only been together 5 years. Not to enamoured with the ginger beard he has cultivated though, makes him look about 15 years older than he really is.

JarethTheGoblinKing · 17/12/2010 20:27

thanks, I hope it is too. THINGS have been getting in the way, so I have planned a family day tomorrow (including lie-in for me so I am less grumpy). Hopefully it'll help

/enough with the derailment Grin

as you were...

Flisspaps · 17/12/2010 20:28

I will add that he has beautiful red hair, and it's not the ginger that I mind. It's the beard!

teafortwo · 17/12/2010 20:29

flakesofsnow - it makes me gush reading your non-gushy relationship with your DH!!! It is very similar to how my friend described 18yrs too.

As for me - YES of course!!!

I have been having quite a tough time lately and was not keen on going to a "my friends" party. I wanted to hide. DH encouraged me to go. It was a lovely party. The next day I was so hungover (- seriously how could two glasses of champagne make me feel sooo ill???) I couldn't get up to go to the market.

DH and DD returned with a modest but pretty bunch of daisies and he kissed me... WOW!!!! I felt like the luckiest woman alive!

BabyGiraffes · 17/12/2010 20:38

oh yes, fancy the pants off him. 16 years and counting Xmas Grin

JiltedJohnsJulie · 17/12/2010 20:42

BooBellinea I do that with my DH too, or if he's getting changed I sometimes loose track of what I was saying and just end up staring at his chest Xmas Blush

Its not forearms and wrists for me though, its big shoulders and teeth that slope inwards everso slightly. Although I should have talked myself out of liking big shoulders long before I ever thought about having DC. Ouch.

IWillCountToThree · 17/12/2010 20:42

8 years here, and Yes, most of the time!

He has beautiful legs that seem to always be toned even though the rest of him isn't. But at the moment he's got a prickly patchy gingerish beard thing going on, and it feels like i'm kissing my old art teacher. Bleaurgh.

NeverArgueWithAnIdiot · 17/12/2010 20:43

I love watching DH from across a room. He has magnificent shoulders and a lovely bottom. He's romantic and thoughtful and irritating and cranky and still manages to surprise me and make me laugh.

I especially love to see him interacting with children. They love him and he turns into a giant human plaything for them. Or when he's walking in front of me holding the DCs hands. Swoon.

LisaD1 · 17/12/2010 20:44

7 years and more than ever, he can get on my nerves sometimes as I'm sure I do his but even then there's that underlying attraction.

My parents just celebrated 40years and they apparantley still fancy each other (FAR tmi for me!)

panettoinydog · 17/12/2010 20:46

depends on his mood.

Sazisi · 17/12/2010 20:47

Yes, but we've only been together 8 years.
I like to think I always will though :o
Actually, I believe I will because the things I find sexy about him are his sense of humour, his sweetness and his gentlemanliness, so he will hopefully retain those qualities!

undercovasanta · 17/12/2010 20:49

He drives me mad, he has no romance, he farts/burps too much.

However, yesterday he went into the petrol station to pay for fuel, and when he walked back across the forecourt to the car, I thought 'Phwoar, that's MY husband!'.

So I guess I must! Smile

TheHollyAndTheGoober · 17/12/2010 20:50

Yep.
Every day a little bit more.
Has only been 17 years.
PHWNOAR!

After 12 years together, yes, as much as ever.

PlentyOfParsnips · 17/12/2010 20:55

That sounded really lame. I've known him since I was 16 and am now 41. Took us 13 years to get together. I have been thinking phoooaarr! since I was 16.

saintknickerless · 17/12/2010 20:59

I do - but he is exceptionally handsome. Only been together 8 years though.

ilsalund · 17/12/2010 21:00

Yes, been together for 20 years
