That is true LeQueen...

There are few anomolies and most of the extreme ones involve money (and that can go either way)

Crass but generally true (odd exception, granted)

Anything else is a pity root as we say back home Grin

BaresarkBunny · 20/12/2010 18:14

I don't fancy him all the time (the general aroma of fatty foods, curry and sweat mixed together which surrounds him after work is not pleasant) but every so often I'll just look at him and my stomach flips. He's got the most gorgeous eyes and when he makes the effort he is (to me) extreamly sexy.

minipie · 20/12/2010 18:33

Just wondering what age all the DHs and DPs referred to here are?

I still fancy my DH after 10 years, but he's still in his 30s and doesn't look that different to when we met.

I do wonder what happens when he's, say, 65 and bald and paunchy (hoping that won't happen but it may well).

ledkrsbellyislikesantas · 20/12/2010 18:38

Yes but when that happens we will have saggy tits and thin grey pubes so will match haha

minipie · 20/12/2010 18:43

completely agree ledkrs! the question is, will we still fancy each other then, or will neither of us fancy each other but we will be willing to put up with it because we have been together so long... ?

SilkStalkings · 20/12/2010 18:49

I def still fancy DH after 13yrs together. I think him still fancying me has a lot to do with it though, you both have to work at staying attractive.
The other night we were smirking at each other and he whispered something filthy in my ear and I found myself jumping up and down giggling like I'd been tickledGrin.

WanderingInAWinterWonderland · 20/12/2010 18:49

Ooh, my DH is lurvely! Xmas Grin

Been together 9 and a half years but only married for 4 months. Sometimes I take it for granted but then every so often I look at him and think, "ooh you are a gorgeous man!" I'm very lucky! Xmas Smile

Spinkle · 20/12/2010 18:51

No.

I can't say I fancy him. Or indeed anyone anymore.

WanderingInAWinterWonderland · 20/12/2010 18:54

I also think that DH is going to age very well too. I have to say that I'm a bit worried about my looks fading and everything going south but DH just getting hotter and hotter [henvy].

proudnscaryvirginmary · 20/12/2010 18:54

Yes I do fancy mine, especially when I see him compared to all the paunchy, balding other dads at school!

I too have a weakness for forearms, particularly those attached to a muscly workman.

SilkStalkings · 20/12/2010 19:26

What's up Spinkle? That's a sad postSad.

Malificence · 20/12/2010 19:52

Mine's 45 and aging very well indeed, his dad is almost 70 and still has all his hair and no paunch, so I'm sure that DH will be a silver fox in his twilight years Grin.

It's really not fair that men can look hot with grey hair but women rarely do, DH's liberal sprinkling of grey plus his glasses make him even sexier. He was rather chuffed when a physio recently told him he had impressive pecs (which he does) .

TattyDevine · 20/12/2010 19:56

Women with grey hair may not look "hot" but it can be very, very elegant.

I like the idea of elegant. There's a sultry side to elegance.

I hate these threads Confused

wendihouse22 · 20/12/2010 20:22

Yes, but only been together 5 yrs!

Fancy him something rotten.....

But, moaning, constant farting and not making any effort in his appearance. Well, it's a turn off, isn't it?

madangelhaironchristmasday · 20/12/2010 20:25

Sad for some on this thread.

Yes I still very much do after 16 yrs together and 13.5 yrs married. He can still make my tummy jump across a room :) Like so many here we've had to work at it but still fancy the pants off each other. Xmas Grin

stnikkilarse1978 · 20/12/2010 20:33

Now I am a bit backwards in that I didn't fancy DH much when I got together with him. He was my best friend and he was mad about me and he was very, very good in bed Grin. I had nothing but bad experiences with men over the years and thought sod it lets see what happens. Over time I feel in love with him and then I started to fancy him (it helped a bit that he put on weight as he was so skinny before). Anyway now I fancy him loads and we have been together nearly ten years. I think it does help that he clearly fancies me so much and we are still very playful and touchy feely all the time with each other. Plus we are still best friends so our life together is fun and we never run out of things to talk about. I think he will be a good looking older man and I am not worried about him fancying me as I age. He fancied me at a size 20 just as much as he did at a 10 :)

When I say fancy though I mean I still find him very attractive, want to have sex with him, want to be close to him. I am not saying I get butterflies in my tummy or fireworks go off when we kiss. It is not like that at all but I prefer the comforting in love kiss to be honest :)

CheerfulYank · 20/12/2010 20:57

Yes I've heard it does coordinate to menstrual cycles. When I'm ovulating I really like big men, though I'm not overly fond the rest of the time. Something about thinking that they'll be strong enough to plant the seed and protect you from predators whilst you're preg or something...also read a very interesting study where they tracked female strippers and found that they made much more money while they were ovulating.

SilkStalkings · 21/12/2010 08:59

LOL my friend gets the horn for workmen in dirty hi-viz jackets when she's ovulating!Grin

So don't read them jasper, personally I like the break from the usual problems that are discussed on here, it is nice to be reminded that there are people out there who are just happy.

LeQueen could well have been the same study, I think there was something about ovulation.

I have to say SilkStalkings that when I am ovulating most men look pretty good with a definite leaning towards hulky sweaty types. Luckily I have one for my own personal use. Xmas Wink

Sorry Shodan DH is a rugby player, I thought you were saying football to cover all the codes. I couldn't be doing with soccer players, all that cuddling and patting of each other's bottoms is very unattractive to me.

Highlander · 22/12/2010 10:21

nope, definitely not. I do wonder how much of that is down to DH treating me pretty badly over the years. The lack of respect for me hAS led to me not being very interetsed in him.
