To NOT want my teenage DS to see a "lady of the night"

Okay, my DH thinks this is a good idea, to give our son a "head start" in front of his peers. He thinks that it'll stop our DS being one of those moody, repressed teenagers you see on the news shooting people in back alleys and the like, but I'm not so sure it's a good idea.

In DH's defense, his parents did this for him and he (as far as I know) has never shot anyone. but I still don't really like the thought of it. AIBU?

Eww.

pooka · 16/12/2010 13:09

What a vile idea.

kreecherlivesupstairs · 16/12/2010 13:09

I suppose it depends on where you live and where your DH comes from. I know in Thailand it is accepted, but that doesn't make it right.
IIWY, I'd tell my husband to fuck right off.

Malificence · 16/12/2010 13:23

Are you Coleen Nolan? Hmm

Mind you , that was actually her idea, to send her 16 year old son to Amsterdam to have his first sexual experiance with a prostitute. Sad Silly bitch.

bupcakesandcunting · 16/12/2010 13:25

Get back under your bridge and have a Biscuit

NotEnoughTime · 16/12/2010 13:26

Can somebody please pass me a sick bag, I feel violently ill.

bupcakesandcunting · 16/12/2010 13:27

"Mind you , that was actually her idea, to send her 16 year old son to Amsterdam to have his first sexual experiance with a prostitute. Silly bitch."

That's where you're wrong, Malificence. He'd already been sexually active for a while before he was sixteen. The Prozzie was a "reward" if he got 5 GCSEs. She also said she'd let her fiance shag a prozzie during his stag weekend because that's "lads being lads" Hmm Twatbag.

harassedinhertinselpants · 16/12/2010 13:29

Imo that's just plain stupid!! Is that the only reason op??

Fwiw, I have two ds's. They are 21 & 19, never seen a prostitute thank god, not gone off the rails and certainly never shot anyone.

Have a Xmas Biscuit.....and go back under your bridge.

Boostini · 16/12/2010 13:30

OMG ! LMAO ! Are you serious ! Maybe you could get a BOGOF from the prossy to help yr DH get over any angst or stress he is feeling in the lead up to Xmas !

If it works in yr family, who am I to judge but OMG !!

AMumInScotland · 16/12/2010 13:30

And there was me thinking MN had been quite sane recently.....

Would anyone really believe that this would enhance their son's atittude and reputation amongst his peers? It would only make it difficult for him to have meaningful relationships with girls - imagine the conversation while fumbling round at a party "Have you ever, you know?" says she. "Oh yes dad bought me a prozzie for Christmas" he replies. "Ewww!" followed by end of romantic clinch, followed by her telling all her girl friends about how disgusting and pox-ridden he must be. Never gets a kiss again!

tinkertitonk · 16/12/2010 13:33

Ladythumb, your advocacy is unnecessary, prostitution is legal in the UK, always has been.

Chil1234 · 16/12/2010 13:37

"Happy Birthday son! We could see you were going to end up moody & repressed having no chance of pulling a bird daft enough to shag you voluntarily.... so we've treated you to a hooker!"

If I was your DS my toes would be curling from that point until my dying day... There are some things you really don't want your parents setting up.

MrsChemistrySetInMyStocking · 16/12/2010 13:37

When DH was at school (all boys), anyone suspected of seeing a prostitute was branded a massive loser.

I bet most right thinking teenage boys think the same way.

deaddei · 16/12/2010 13:40

Are you called Colleen???

rudolphsmum · 16/12/2010 13:43
Xmas Biscuit
AbsofCroissant · 16/12/2010 13:44

Here are some good solid (they came from me) reasons that you could tell your DH, as to why you should not hire a prostitute for your son

  1. You're effectively telling him, or he may think, that his parents think he's such a loser and so unable to find someone/have sex through regular means that the only solution is to hire a professional
  2. You're deliberately exposing him to the risk of catching numerous STIs, and at worst, HIV
  3. That you and your DH condone treating sex (and women's bodies) as marketable commodities

As I think of more I'll get back to you.

OhLittleTownOfShirley · 16/12/2010 13:46

There's a joke in there somewhere...I'm thinking something about "going off half cocked" or being on a "hair trigger" or something.

TrillianAstra · 16/12/2010 13:47

Does your DH normally subscribe to the view that 'my parents did it' = 'this is the right thing to do'? Hmm

OP has disappeared and is probably a troll anyway.

Is this for real?

Yes, for sure, teach him that sex is a financial transaction between a willing male and a woman whose sexual needs are not to be considered.

Also teenage girls LOVE guys who have been with prostitutes. It will really make him popular.

Are you from the 1890s? Have you seen Paint Your Wagon and thought it was a BBC 3 documentary?

PhishFoodAddiction · 16/12/2010 14:00

Hope this is a joke.If not it is seriously messed up.

Did Colleen Nolan really get her son a hooker as a reward for passing his exams? Shock
