To NOT want my teenage DS to see a "lady of the night"

Okay, my DH thinks this is a good idea, to give our son a "head start" in front of his peers. He thinks that it'll stop our DS being one of those moody, repressed teenagers you see on the news shooting people in back alleys and the like, but I'm not so sure it's a good idea.

In DH's defense, his parents did this for him and he (as far as I know) has never shot anyone. but I still don't really like the thought of it. AIBU?

WTF?

DuelingFanio · 16/12/2010 12:35

Seriously? Biscuit

MumNWLondon · 16/12/2010 12:35

Is this for real? How old is your DS. I agree with you, and would not allow it.

seeker · 16/12/2010 12:35

You are joking, I presume?

wussbird · 16/12/2010 12:35

Biscuit to your DH

SuePurblybiltbyElves · 16/12/2010 12:35

Oh do feck off.

loveulotslikejellytots · 16/12/2010 12:35
Xmas Biscuit
allnightlong · 16/12/2010 12:37

You have to be taking the piss surely?! Head start wtf!

QueenofDreams · 16/12/2010 12:37

Hmm OK

Niceguy2 · 16/12/2010 12:38

FFS. It's xmas. Why not pay that bit extra and get him a threesome. That should definitely put a smile on his face.

theevildead2 · 16/12/2010 12:39

Definitly give him a head start. What is more romantic that having yor first sexual experience with a prostitute?

Nothing says "I love you" like, will that be Cash or Cheque?

screamingskull · 16/12/2010 12:39

Confused surely you/husband are not serious.

Butterbur · 16/12/2010 12:39

Was "see" a euphemism then? I thought this was going to be a thread about reclaiming residential streets from ladies of the night.

walkinginaWUKTERwonderland · 16/12/2010 12:41

You'd be better off setting your son up as a gigolo. He's still get the 'head start' but he'd get paid for it as well.

LadyThumb · 16/12/2010 12:43

You see, this is where I think we should, in this country, have 'legal facilities'. All sorts of people are not able to have personal relationships for one reason or another. I have always been an advocate of legalisation with clean, safe, environments for clients and workers alike.

KangarooCaught · 16/12/2010 12:45

Duh, was thinking how come I've never heard of this film'?!

Will dh do the same for his dd?

Moron

discobeaver · 16/12/2010 12:47

I agree with LadyThumb, or at least I used to until someone told me that NZ (where it is legal) has one of the highest rates of trafficked women in the world. So then I wasn't really sure.

Look what it did for Russel Brand! His Dad did it for him and Russel is convncced this is why he got addicted to sex...he feels that he connected it with his Dads approval.

AbsofCroissant · 16/12/2010 12:48

Your DS's moodiness etc. could be because he's a teenager, or because he has deeper underlying issues. But, I don't think having his parents hire him a prostitute is going to help with either of those issues. Is it going to be his b'day present or something? "Here you go son - a lovely 45 year old woman with substance abuse problems that we're paying to have sex with you. Enjoy!"

tinselistooaddictive · 16/12/2010 12:54

pmsl at Abs.

It is just wrong for so many reasons!

diddl · 16/12/2010 13:01

Won´t it only stop him being moody & repressed if he sees her what, 3 times a night& twice in the morning or something?

It´s a revolting idea imo.

Not all family traditiond need passing on!

InkyStamp · 16/12/2010 13:04

Oh. my. goodness. Shock

That is all.

PaisleyLeaf · 16/12/2010 13:04

I know someone who did actually set up something similar for her son. He was maybe a little bit older.
Always seemed a bit sad to me and it makes me feel sorry for him in several ways.
And, he could have been one of the most moody, repressed, off the rails kids I knew.

RockinRobinBird · 16/12/2010 13:05

I must be delirious, I thought I was getting better... Confused
