Yanbu.

Btw, I love pork, I love meat, I love liver, I love pork scratchings, I love all sorts. But "pork belly" somehow revolts me and I have never eaten it. I imagine tis all fat?

MogTheForgetfulCat · 05/12/2010 22:00

YANBU - I thought that, too - bleurgh. Surely some mistake, though - 'tis M&S party food! Mind you dessert sandwiches sound a bit Hmm also...

southeastastra · 05/12/2010 22:01

it does, also they're flogging pork leg which is also bleugh

nancy75 · 05/12/2010 22:01

pork belly is lovely if cooked in the right way.

Pork belly is gorgeous though. I'd give 'em a go if offered

niftyfifty · 05/12/2010 22:02

YANBU - sounds revolting! And I love pork with apple sauce etc, but pork belly squares - as party food?????? Yeurgh!

FunnysInTheGarden · 05/12/2010 22:03

Firawla · 05/12/2010 22:04

AnnoyingOrange · 05/12/2010 22:04

It's like steaky bacon, innit

AnnoyingOrange · 05/12/2010 22:05

um that would be streaky not steaky Grin

BadPoet · 05/12/2010 22:06

YABU, I've had these and they were gorgeous. All glazed and melty, yum.

poorbuthappy · 05/12/2010 22:06

but it looks like chocolate! I actually saw them and started to say, they look lovely and then the advert announced that they were pork belly...I went urgh and dh went lovely!

midlandsmumof4 · 05/12/2010 22:10

As a party food (it would be cold?) ...no YANBU. Roast belly of pork is great as a main meal though. Lovely crackling when cooked properly.

panettoinydog · 05/12/2010 22:11

I love pork belly but would I have it as a cube of party food? No.

Lynli · 05/12/2010 22:13

YANBU, a layer of meat and a layer of fat on a cocktail stick, it looks revolting.

Katisha · 05/12/2010 22:13

It's putting the word "belly" in it, isn't it!
They should have called them something else.

yeah, not tempted by mini sandwich deserts. I'd have a profiterole any day.

TheCrackFox · 05/12/2010 22:18

Those sandwich things, or as we used to call them a couple of years ago, biscuits.

said · 05/12/2010 22:19

My granny had a thing about the word 'belly'. She had to ask the butchers for pig's stomach Grin

backwardpossom · 05/12/2010 22:21

Pork belly is lovely, but it sounds vile. YANBU!

ArrAitch · 05/12/2010 22:22

YANBU.. although I think I might have just eaten them and not even realised what they were if someone had offered them to me and not used the word "belly".

panettoinydog · 05/12/2010 22:22

They should go retro. Retro party food would be lovely. No more of this post-modern crap.

panettoinydog · 05/12/2010 22:23

It's a fatty sausage on a stick innit

maighdlin · 05/12/2010 22:24
