on ebay. I don't even really like christmas pudding plus my auntie always sends down a christmas pudding to have at mum and dad's. Have seen some going for £100+. I bought it to have boxing day with inlaws but am sure they'd be happy with a nice M&S one.

Have realised this is my second aibu in a day. This is the last one from me for a long time.

£100+?!!!! YANBU - do it!!!

MmeLindt · 28/11/2010 21:35

YANBU

If you can get £100 then go for it.

Leslaki · 28/11/2010 21:37

sell, sell, sell!!!

FakePlasticTrees · 28/11/2010 21:38

YANBU - sell it, get another one if you want for boxing day, but I tend to find no one really wants Christmas pudding on boxing day as it's a bit samey as the day before.

Tesco have their finest ones on sale at the mo.

aristomache · 28/11/2010 21:38

Jaysus! Why are you even asking?

kreecherlivesupstairs · 28/11/2010 21:38

For a pudding? Some people have much more money than sense.

Iamcountingto3 · 28/11/2010 21:39

£100 - seriously? People are insane. Sell.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 28/11/2010 21:39

Fuck me sideways! How much was it to buy? I wish I bought one now, but I thought "urgh, I don't like that much orange". Stupid middle class twats paying £100 for a Christmas pudding that's in vogue!

Ladyface · 28/11/2010 21:40

YANBU! £100 for a christmas pudding? Sell it I say. Who are these mugs paying that sort of money for a dessert?

MummyBerryJuice · 28/11/2010 21:40

What is this £100 Christmas piddingnof which you speak? Surely not. Was it actually hand made by Heston?

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 28/11/2010 21:40

haha one joker has theirs up for £245!

MmeLindt · 28/11/2010 21:41

FakePlastic
you cannot buy one now, they are totally sold out. And the bugger won't give out the recipe.

MummyBerryJuice · 28/11/2010 21:42

Pudding of which, obviously Blush. Damn phone.

ASecretLemonadeDrinker · 28/11/2010 21:42

Imagine it was actually rank. £13.99 it cost according to Ocado. Mugs.

MummyBerryJuice · 28/11/2010 21:44

lol lemonadedrinker I'm sure that's worth £100 Wink

BelligerentGhoul · 28/11/2010 21:46

Good God - yes, sell it. If people are stupid enough to pay that much then you might as well take advantage of the fact that they are morons.

Give the in-laws an M&S one with a clementine on the side!

RockinRobinBird · 28/11/2010 21:47

My mum was desperate for one but they're sold out everywhere. Now I know its because ticket tout-esque greedy fuckers are selling them on eBay.

MummyBerryJuice · 28/11/2010 21:48

Ah. I see

Madness. Utter madness (not you OP. YADNBU)

wildmutt · 28/11/2010 21:51

It's the posh one with the candid orange in the middle. It is supposedly very tasty (according to my friend who works at waitrose and tasted it in the staff dining room last week!). It cost me £13.99 which is steep but for special treat I thought ok.

Right you've convinced me. I'll call it karma for the ridiculous go go pet fiasco I got fleeced carried away with on ebay last year Blush.

OP posts:
wildmutt · 28/11/2010 21:55

that's candied orange. Smile

OP posts:
SoupDragon · 28/11/2010 21:57

The mere thought of a whole candied orange in the middle makes me want to throw up.

SoupDragon · 28/11/2010 21:58

have you seen them actually sold for £100 BTW?

Ladyface · 28/11/2010 22:00

There is one with a bid of £77 and a couple at £50-£60.

Antalya1 · 28/11/2010 22:00

sell...there's one with a reserve price of £499.99!!!!! OMG my DC's won't even get that amount in pressies!!!

GlitteryBalls · 28/11/2010 22:06

Oh what the fuck is the world coming to? OP, rinse these idiots for every penny they've got. They deserve it frankly!
