on ebay. I don't even really like christmas pudding plus my auntie always sends down a christmas pudding to have at mum and dad's. Have seen some going for £100+. I bought it to have boxing day with inlaws but am sure they'd be happy with a nice M&S one.

Have realised this is my second aibu in a day. This is the last one from me for a long time.

:( No wonder I can't get hold of one int he shops.

mollyroger · 29/11/2010 14:50

people are bonkers.

FakePlasticTrees · 30/11/2010 08:56

So have you sold it?

TrillianAdAstra · 30/11/2010 08:59

It's not as if you bought it deliberately to sell, you bought it in good faith but have realised that some peopel have more money than sense value that particular Christmas pudding far more than you.

I bet they deliberately didn't make many of them just to drum up publicity.

Bloodymary · 30/11/2010 10:22

One went for £95 last night!

lottiejenkins · 30/11/2010 10:33

Cant see a £499 one, can see one for £350 and £6 delivery!!!

amarone · 30/11/2010 10:35

There are currently 192 Heston puds for sale!I'm sure that'll bring the prices down.

diddl · 30/11/2010 10:45

If you can get the money, why not?

I was fancying one until I say that the orange is candied.

Sounds sickly sweet.

MrsSatsuma · 30/11/2010 10:51

There's one on there for £1.04.... prices seem to vary wildly!!

goodluck · 01/12/2010 19:57

buy it now for £1000 on there though they must be taking the mick. No-one will pay that surely

Blatherskite · 01/12/2010 20:10

I wanted one but seriously, £14 was pushing it price wise!!

I've made mine myself this year - they'll be delicious Grin

HollyBollyBooBoo · 02/12/2010 02:55

Some cheeky buggers are even selling the recipe for the pudding on ebay for a few quid - you can get it for free on the Telegraph website.

This is deplorable rampant consumerism of contemporary society and the muppets who buy them for more than £14 should be ashamed.

PogueMahone · 02/12/2010 05:26

Charlton? Is he even still alive?

diddl · 02/12/2010 17:29

Just had a look at the telegraph video of making a "hidden orange" pudding.

A kilo of sugar used in candying the orange.

OMG! Yuk, yuk, yuk!
