I'm not suggesting anyone read the synopsis as that's disgusting enough. But I don't know how the government can allow this disgusting film to be released!

Surely this sort of film encourages paedophillia and violent rape.

There are more slaves alive now than there has been before at any time in the history of the world. The majority of this is sex trafficking.

I'm revolted that a film like this can be given even a censored release date (10th)

This was not a porn movie, or a documentary or even an art film...this sold as a torture horror film...

midlandsmumof4 · 28/11/2010 00:32

Time to leave it. Anyone who has not heard of this film now has.......Sad.

eandz · 28/11/2010 00:32

cant torture go back to 'normal' torture? like hearing crazy noise, rumors, betrayals?

Lotster · 28/11/2010 00:35

Unspeakably vile and upsetting from the synopsis.

I studied film and can't imagine a subtext that could excuse the content and dread to think how the scenes were shot without causing any upset to child actors.

I just don't understand how people can be prosecuted for having images on their computers, yet can go out and watch this rape/paedo porn unfettered?

I came across this film by accident quite awhile ago. Honestly I can't understand anyone who does not defy it.

Kaloki · 28/11/2010 00:38

Just so you know,

6 films have been banned, 4 are now "cult classics".

BBFC have asked for scenes to be cut from this film. If they hadn't been cut then it would either have been classified as R18 (like porn, only available to selected retailers and cinemas), or refused classification; in which case it wouldn't be released at all.

I like to think that the BBFC wouldn't let anything really over the top through - despite the themes, I imagine the film doesn't actually show the worst bits. It may have done pre cut, but it wouldn't get through as an 18 with that certain scene intact. (I do not envy whoever had to sit through the original cut of this film :( )

"how the scenes were shot without causing any upset to child actors"

Bit below child actors - so they'd have used a dummy of a baby. God I feel sick.

Nice way to warn against becoming inured by violence...by adding to to the normalization of extreme violence. And happily lining your pockets and raising your status as you do so.

The supposed point of the film is worth making, of course. But the way he's gone about it shows no compassion or regard for the real life victims. Proving that they are not his concern.

midlandsmumof4 · 28/11/2010 01:03

LAST FUCKING TIME THEN............IF YOU DONT WANT TO ADVERTISE THIS FILM,KILL IT NOW.

Going by what dittany quoted above, his basic premise is that being fucked, or indeed whoring is pretty much as low as you can go.
Which tells you a lot about his attitude to sexuality in general.

I agree with midlandsmun - this thread is too, too awful. I wish I had never contributed to it and I hope it is killed very soon.

CommanderDrool · 28/11/2010 08:45

I think this thread should be killed. The less publicity this film gets the better.

It can be searched on You Tube, you know. I'd rather it was ignored so people don't search for it.

And I share Dittany's disgust, and I think it is a vehicle for the director's vanity. That quote shows hoe absolutely moronic the film makers are.

#Read 'If This Is A Man' by Primo Levi if you want to know about RThe Holocaust.

pofakked · 28/11/2010 09:45

I have come back to make sure certain posts of yours are deleted dittany. And you obviously cannot read because in my very first few posts on this thread I said I WAS NOT GOING TO SEE tHE FILM and it was probably abhorrent. I said it MAY have an allegorical theme and the clue was in the title, and that I don't know if it is JUST cynical and sick film making for entertainment or is any more than that. And then you say yourself that you 'don't know' if it should be banned. Hypocrite.

And for that I have been called an apologist for violent porn basically. You are beneath debate as I said before.
