BNP on facebook......should be responsible for the photos on their page

Friend of mine on FB has requested that I report the BNP's facebook page for the most vile language and content. Which I have, I implore everyone to do the same. The photos are disgusting, pictures of dead or dying Africans/Afro-Caribbeans with captions like Funny looking N*er underneath.

It's shocking, you may be able to report it without looking at the photos.

BTP;

Angry that the BNP responded so quickly to this? They do not want to associate themselves with idiots ( and I know this for a fact) they're a responsible party who have 1000's of supporters from various backgrounds (not all BNP supporters are White for example)

your crass generalisations are pathetic.

how many non white supporters do they have DP? Are there stats on this, maybe they joined to piss off the majority of members who like to be part of a white only party (only changes recently by force).

"Not entirely sure why you've singled me out on this thread"

I'd wager it's because you've come out with comments and statements which when shown up to be invalid and illogical you just disregard the fact that they've been invalidated and continue with your same argument.

e.g. "I don't care if it's the BNP or not" when it's a thread trying to criticise the BNP for something and it's quite clearly been shown that they had nothing to do with it and if you are loooking to criticise a group for something it's actually quite an important factor that they are the ones who actually did it.

and
"their silence on the issue is support in my book"
which when you are shown that they are not silent on the issue and in fact do not support it you just blindly ignore and basically continue with an attitude of - It doesn't matter if they take it down they still support it. Well in that case why did their silence speak volumes for you?surely now their action should be given equal merit.

As I've said there's millions of ways to ridicule and denounce the BNP's ideology and actions, but you are using absolutely no logic which plays into their hands and weakens your arguments.

daftpunk · 17/11/2010 14:22

Haven't got statistics of non White supporters/voters...
but the BNP has got support from the Sikh community and other minority groups including homosexuals.

BTP - haven't singled you out, just skim read and saw your post - ( I'm not on MN much anymore tbh, can't remember the last time I logged into MN from my computer, I'm only ever on my phone these days and am distancing myself from online crap discussions in general. ( too busy )...I get PM'd sometimes and have to log in here to read my messages - then I'm tempted to have a quick look at active convos)

daftpunk · 17/11/2010 14:38

And thank you MQ for your last post.
having now read the thread in it's entirety you've summed up my feelings towards BTP perfectly.

begonyabampot · 17/11/2010 14:46

DP - i don't think you should be pushed away from a site because many folk don't agree with your views. I don't know anyone who is a supporter of the BNP (or openly anyway) so i do find your contributions interesting, even if I don't agree with all of them. I truly find it hard to believe that many homosexuals would really support the BNP but wonder if they are just trying to be militant and really just having a laugh at the BNP expense, as i imagine they are really not wanted there. To me it's a bit like a Jew joining the Nazi party.

electra · 17/11/2010 15:08

what's interesting about fascism or comments like '95% of people don't want them living here'

really? Hmm

In all my time hearing the cr@p spouted by BNP members I've never heard a single one defend their 'arguments' in any credible way or produce evidence for what they say is true. And that's because their policies are borne of base ugly prejudices and nothing more.

beebuzzer · 17/11/2010 15:38

OMG I didnt even know such lowlifes existed whether they belong to the BNP or not. I feel disgusted. will definately report it.

Electra;

I was talking about the Muslim extremists who do nothing but spout hate towards the west & this country. I would say that 95% of people don't want them living here. I don't need to back that up with 10 years of research and 15 government studies... I'm telling you.

Take your own advice.
I'm not the one jumping to massive conclusions...

mayorquimby · 17/11/2010 16:22

Now I've completely lost track of your stream of consciousness BTP.
You've spent the majority of your posts on this thread lambasting the BNP over a site that they had nothing to do with on the basis of something you knew nothing about, now you are castigating another poster for similar acts?

electra · 17/11/2010 16:27

Extremists live everywhere in every country. Most muslims are not extremists.

"I don't base my entire view of people on their political or religious beliefs.

Unlike the BNP.

It's hardly a massive conclusion.
The hardcore supporters of the BNP are violent thugs."

The ironing is delicious.
not that I disagree with you with regards to BNP supporters. Basing my entire view of people on their religious or political beliefs is quite logical in a lot of situations.
But once again you're contradicting yourself.

"MQ. Prove they were absolutely unaware of the site."

Well that's just nonsense you can't prove a negative.
Prove to me that you/the labour party/the tories or president Obama were entirely unaware of it?

all we know is that upon receiving contact from the first person that we know contacted them (TFP earlier in this thread) they have sought to address the page. That would mean that the balance of probability is that they are unaware of it.
It's not dull. illogical and reactionary arguments like yours are often used by BNP members as a way of recruitment and justification as it strengthens their seige mentality. If you are going to slam them, do so over things they have actually done, as I said above when you simply decide to make stuff up it weakens your argument.

You said above : "Their silence on this issue is suport in my book"
Now when it is clear that they have not been silent, you just completely ignore your earlier opinion and flip position. If their silence spoke so loudly to you then how do you justify that statement in light of their actions wrt this particular site.

mayorquimby · 17/11/2010 16:38
  • were unaware of it.

obviously they are aware of it now

daftpunk · 17/11/2010 16:40

BTP;
I'm afraid you're incapable of holding my attention for longer than 3 or 4 posts. You lack just about everything apart from the ability to not have a clue about anything.
