The Con-Dem cuts are nearly here AIBU to hope that those who voted Tory get hit the hardest and lose the most.

I will admit to voting LD but i never expected some of them to be such a bunch of snide gits, as for Danny Alexander I want to stamp on his smug sneering face

Ignore me, I'm thinking of CTC. I get so bloody confused.

GypsyMoth · 20/10/2010 13:31

hmmm EMA to be replaced......with what??

GraveyardMistsAreYellow · 20/10/2010 13:32

Gruel probably.

juneybean · 20/10/2010 13:33

They make a lot of noise for a bunch of adults.

GypsyMoth · 20/10/2010 13:36

Where is it written? I was listening to the BBC footage so might have misheard. I've been looking for info on WTC changes on various sites now and cannot see it.

I've looked on MSE, nothing so far.

GraveyardMistsAreYellow · 20/10/2010 13:40

Well we're writing about it.

ChocHobNob · 20/10/2010 13:41

Graveyard, I was referring to the WTC part altinkum had replied to me about. Not the whole thing in general lol

Sorry altinkum, you said you "read it as" so I assumed you had read it somewhere on the net. Will wait and see and hope it's confirmed and explained better soon.

GraveyardMistsAreYellow · 20/10/2010 13:44

That's what I was looking for, there is a benefits forum on MoneySavingExpert, thought there would have been some commentary by now. We're obviously well ahead of them [hgrin]

ApocalypseCheese · 20/10/2010 13:46

I've felt the effects of the cuts already (well my son did anyway, it stung apparently)

The lEA has had its transport budget slashed, because of this the older, experienced escorts/drivers have gone and the cheapest option brought in. People who are driving extremely vulnerable children and haven't got a clue about them.

As a direct consequence of this, my son ( who had got stressed and tried to pull the escorts glasses off ) was dragged off the bus and slapped. We know he was slapped, as does his school and even the lady from the LEA agreed and yet nothing is being done.

This beast woman was so interested in the children under her care that after a month they didnt even know her name.

She probably didnt know my son could speak (she looked extremely shocked when she realised he could )

This is happening up and down the country vulnerable people paid with low paid workers who arent monitored and don't give a shit about the people under their care. I see them repeatedly when i'm out, some poor sod slumped in a wheelchair with a drink placed just out of their reach whilst the 'carer' sits proudly in her uniform, flicking through a magazine or texting.

On Monday I had to listen to the mother of a child from school sing her sons respite carers praises all along knowing that every Saturday she takes him to the sn session at softplay, chats to her mate on the phone and after roughly 15 minutes will haul the poor child out because SHE wants a drink and snack in the cafe Angry and yes we have followed her, so not only is the poor child being totally ignored, he is being dragged away from playing, forced into his wheelchair and carted down to the cafe to watch her fill her face. Hmm

Shiny Dave, YOU sir, are a twat.Fact.

ChocHobNob · 20/10/2010 13:48

There must be a written commentary somewhere on the WWW!

Quote of the week AC.

So sorry about your son Sad

ChocHobNob · 20/10/2010 13:55

"Working Tax Credit rules so couples with children must work 24 hours per week between them."

ApocalypseCheese · 20/10/2010 13:56

Its his/my word against hers basicly.

There werent any marks, nobody saw anything (so they say ) nothing I can do.

My son has been spoken to, reports have been made and put on file and probably left to gather dust, thankfully he is now on one of the school owned buses.

GraveyardMistsAreYellow · 20/10/2010 13:57

DH gets WTC and I am at home with a disabled child. None for us then?

Ah, cherry on the cake.

Dp only does 23 hrs (all that's available) and i'm a carer for cheese 1 and cheese 2, dunno what's going to happen to us then

ChocHobNob · 20/10/2010 14:07

They can't just bring it in straight away. Hopefully he'll be able to do something about increasing his hours by 1 hour a week. I really hope so. Those who have to increase by 8 hours a week will be a struggle too.

AC didn't Dave tell Riven that the Tories would "take care" of disabled people?

[hhmm]

DS' special developmental playgroup is also going.
