To object strongly to the level of swearing on here?

There is a lot of offensive language on here at the moment. May I suggest either:

a) a swear box. All money to go to Proudnscary's Christmas in Barbados fund, Coutts & Co Bank, Acc no: 666, Transylvania.

OR

b) Substituing swear words for the following:

Cunt - Clock
Fuck - Farm
Bitch - Bobble
Shit - Sausage
Bastard - Bunion
Twat - tickle

So a typical exchange would now read 'I formula fed my farming dc, you clock. I don't give a sausage what you say, stop being a bobble.'

'Your dh is a tickle. And a bunion. Leave him'.

yabu. It's called freedom of expression.
There is no more swearing on here than there ever has been.

LoopyLoupGarou · 19/10/2010 08:01

What a farming sausage idea.

RockBat · 19/10/2010 08:02

I think it's a great idea. Off you farm and when you get there, farm off again sounds great :o

I agree that there is a fair amount of swearing on MN but we are not all Bobbles and Clocks, some of us just don't give a Sausage.

Tbh, your list makes you look like a bit of a Tickle.

supergreenuk · 19/10/2010 08:09

This place is too argumentative for me. You don't get a thread with at least someone stressing a thread out. They just suck the life out of me. Do you think they are like that in real life too? I don't have the energy to respond to agro anymore.

Morloth · 19/10/2010 08:11

Who the farming farm made you the boss of farming MN? Farm off you clocking tickle.

duvetcover · 19/10/2010 08:21

Oh for farms sake. With bunions and bobbles all over you have to tell the clocks to farm off, otherwise we'd all be chest high deep in sausage.

But have a nice Xmas in Barbados... Wink

HeadlessPrinceBilly · 19/10/2010 08:24

I can't remember them all. But I can't see Clockflaps catching on!

MollygoreR · 19/10/2010 08:27

Oh sausage. Does that mean we have to sing Old Macdonald had a fuck?
or The mouse ran down the cunt?

HowToShoutSoHusbandsWillListen · 19/10/2010 08:28

These threads always just descend into a load of posters defending their right to say Clock and suggesting you Farm off to Netmums if you don't like it.

MollygoreR · 19/10/2010 08:30

yeah, or calling us a load of bobbles. Or Obbles with a B, in netmums' case...

cornflakequeenie · 19/10/2010 08:34

I love the fact that you can swear on here. No other forum I know allows it, I find it refreshing.

I could not be doing with this 'Your DH is a bunion, tickle,' bollocks.

However, if you say 'Your DH is a twat' we all know where we stand!

laweaselmys · 19/10/2010 09:11

Would put a whole new twist on the bobble plate behind the loo thread.

echt · 19/10/2010 09:16

Hadaway and shite, OP.

I like the sweariness on this forum, and the fact that it holds your paragraphs, unlike the clocking TES which is like using the Enigma code.

proudnscary · 19/10/2010 09:16

Literally piffling* myself laughing on the train!

There was a Clive James novel which I found pretty dreary apart from a character who swore so much that he substituted two of his favourite swear words with "soap" and "sand."

One tirade went:

"Soap! Sand! Soaping sand! Soap a duck!"

proudnscary · 19/10/2010 09:22

And loving the posters taking my op seriously - you silly tickles!! Get a farming sense of humour for Christopher biggin's* sake.

I do object to swearing in thread titles, not because my precious DDs might read it, but because work's computing Big Brother won't let me open sweary-titled threads. So then I have to spend all day wondering what I'm missing out on!

GoreRenewed · 19/10/2010 09:30

I'm with you 100% OP! The moral degeneracy on this forum is shocking! Shocking! Shock See I am shocked.

I think we could do with finding some less offensive names for the male member. How about 'pigeon' or 'weasel'?

cakewench · 19/10/2010 09:35

I knew you were joking, OP. The hint was in the extensive list of curse words. :o The few people I've seen who are genuinely offended by this sort of thing aren't keen to make a farming list of everything single word, much less offer substitutions like these.

good post btw :o

MmeBodyInTheBasement · 19/10/2010 10:13

Nice to see AnyFarmer posting on this thread.

GetOrfMoiLand · 19/10/2010 10:15
