Mitchum, smart solid deodorant for men (what's the difference for women?)

I bought two of these stick deodorants, the deodorant part fell off both of them, making them unusable, when I rolled it up, and no I didn't roll it up too much.

Anyone else?

OK I admit it I had a Bobbleoff too. Thought mine was faulty it was that rubbish.

TattyDevine · 29/05/2013 17:48

Wow this is an old fred. I thought it was new till I saw my old replies. "My 3 year old" ha he's nearly 6 now. And the baby is 3. Lol.

I used to be funny before alcohol dependency took hold. Or at least it seems that way. Possibly because I am drunk?

Heartbrokenmum73 · 29/05/2013 17:51

For us Tatty it ends on Monday - yes, lucky us, we have en extra day for Teacher Training - oh, the joy!

ColdHandLou · 29/05/2013 17:52

Hope you like it HBM73!

Toaster pockets. A brush for tickling mushrooms. Poundshop "bic" razors, blunt and some blade missing.

mervynmouse · 29/05/2013 17:59

Also some tooth whitening stuff. Possibly from the back of a Sunday supplement (why did I ever think it would work?). It was basically non toxic white paint.

One of my friends was pressurised into having a Jamie Oliver cookware party by a friend of hers, she begged me to go on the day as so many sensible people had pulled out,

I bought a pepper grinder, lasagne dish, and a couple of other items, all were unusable within weeks, expensive shoddy crap.

Never buy any cook equipment with Jamie Oliver's name on it.

bankofmum · 29/05/2013 18:05

Cappucino maker. Such an absolute faff to use and wash we couldnt be arsed and lives in back of cupboard

ComposHat · 29/05/2013 18:10

St John's wort supposed to be good for treating depression

About as much use as a marzipan dildo.

handcream · 29/05/2013 18:15

Doesnt Mitcham realise that the solid stick breaks after a few uses. Agree that if you ever go to the US stock up with the gel version. Its fab! Why dont they sell it here?

Mitcham is one of the best IMHO though and often on offer in Boots or Superdrug.

Agree that the Huggies Baby wipes are rubbish. Boots are good and fantastic for cleaning shoes, taking marks off clothes, cleaning inside the car etc! What on earth is in them though!

NinaHeart · 29/05/2013 18:17

Another one who can't get on with Bare Minerals. Looks fine when first applied but in no time at all is cakey and emphasises every tiny wrinkle (of which I have plenty) And I thought it was only me. sigh of relief

Bobyan · 29/05/2013 18:21

Boots own brand wax strips, left me with hairy skin free legs.
Clearasil facewash, still spotty.
Viakal limescale remover, lots of limescale, just now its light blue.
Peppa pig sticking plasters, they don't stick.
Bontempi children's microphone, lasted less than two weeks before breaking.
Eucerin lotion for dry skin, made my skin worse.

Bought a bathroom from tesco bathrooms and it's aged really badly.

LayMizzRarb · 29/05/2013 18:21

No No electronic Hair remover. Put it anywhere near your top lip and it stings like hell. The presenter said 'you may feel a slight tingle'..... It felt like someone had ripped my skin off with industrial Sellotape. It made my arms feel like I had shaved it with a razor. Pile of shite, not worth £20 let alone £200. Luckily I bought it from QVC so got a full refund.

ophelia275 · 29/05/2013 18:24

Sainsburys cream of chicken soup. It has the consistency of snot and tastes of nothing.

Bobyan · 29/05/2013 18:25

lay I was considering one of those!

Smeg microwave that broke one week out of guarantee and was going to cost almost as much to repair as to buy a new one (replaced with cheap supermarket one which lasted for ages).
Touch eclat.
Any slingback shoe, will not stay on feet, but especially any slingback show foisted on you by expensive wedding wear shops because they match the outfit you have just purchased.

LayMizzRarb · 29/05/2013 20:48

read the reviews for the NoNo here Bobyan if you want to get one, at least get it from QVC then you have a no questions asked money back if you don't like it or if it gives you third degree burns .....

sandiy · 29/05/2013 21:06

AT home electrolysis machine.I am really dark haired and the thing stings so I know it works but the same hairs keep growing back several hundred quid down the pan x

raisah · 29/05/2013 21:07

Ecover cleaner, absolutely useless I had to go over it with chemicals afterwards.
Those cleaning cloths that claim that only water is needed to clean your kitchen. Does not work after cooking curry! They should test these products on curry stains, if it shifts them then should they market them.

expatinscotland · 29/05/2013 21:10

Jolen wax strips are also put shit.

LaGuardia · 29/05/2013 21:20

Any ant powder. None of them work on the ants we have here. In fact they take the powder to make their nests more comfy, then come back and empty the pedal bin overnight.

expatinscotland · 29/05/2013 22:27

And no, you do NOT need chemicals to get things really clean!

itsnotyouitsMeals · 29/05/2013 22:58

SMEG fancy American style fridge which needed a WHOLE NEW DOOR at massive cost because the seal was broken. An environmental and financial disaster. DH won't let me take the old door to the tip as he wants to use it to stage a public protest against SMEG after his email to the CEO went unanswered as it was 'August and the factory is closed'. No response in September or since!

Mouse traps, Humane mouse traps, mouse electrifiers, mouse poisons, anti mouse sonar devices

None worked.

Got a cat in the end. She isn't much better at getting rid of the mice, but she is lovely and keeps us company in bed, sleeping soundly as the mice run amok.
