I can agree that perhaps she doesn't always make the best choices and moans a bit.

But I honestly don't think she is as bad as people are keen to make out.

In fact, I like her

Flame away!

If you treat her diary as a work of fiction then I think it's fine. I know for a fact that she's quite economical with the truth and alters events to improve her story. Why any man would date her, knowing that they are going to have their every move documented in national newspaper magazine is beyond me.

Tigerdrivesbackin · 09/10/2010 00:12

You are the most unreasonable person ever to grace AIBU.

Tigerdrivesbackin · 09/10/2010 00:12

Sorry, meant to add a Smile to soften that! But still YABVVVU.

scottishmummy · 09/10/2010 00:12

i like to read her stuff for a good laugh

BitOfFun · 09/10/2010 00:14

I suppose we all enjoy an eccentric. But I cringe reading her columns on here, and always feel that the DM should have a bit of a duty of care towards her somehow.

scottishmummy · 09/10/2010 00:14

is she a wag who is she

sharbie · 09/10/2010 00:15

snoozathon · 09/10/2010 00:16

snoozathon · 09/10/2010 00:18

scottishmummy · 09/10/2010 00:18

sharbie · 09/10/2010 00:21

she can be hilarious

bethjeff · 09/10/2010 00:26

Lol thankyou Tigerdrivesbackin that is a truely immense accolade which I take great pride in receiving Grin

And snoozathon thankyou for my first biscuit.

IMHO there are far worse people out there than Liz.She is practically a twiglet. Twiglets are not malicious, they are a party snack and I love parties and snacks.

Thus, by my logic, she can't be that bad.

snoozathon · 09/10/2010 00:28

Oh it's not a snotty biscuit, click on the link and you'll see :)

Tigerdrivesbackin · 09/10/2010 00:33

She looks like a Twiglet. Hope she doesn't smell like one Grin.

bethjeff · 09/10/2010 00:40

YANBU, I think she's great, very entertaining, and an animal lover too so can do no wrong in my eyes Grin

BitOfFun · 09/10/2010 01:22

She famously whinged about being utterly skint once, and dear ol' pensioners sent her cheques. Which she then said she couldn't possibly accept, but took anyway and donated to a horses' charity. Which is a bit off, if you ask me.

bethjeff · 09/10/2010 01:35

She couldn't possibly have expected that old people would send cheques to her though. It was indeed thoroughly nice of them but more than a tad overboard.
There have been no complaints arising from said pensioners being unhappy at their money going to charity either as far as I'm aware.
She probably didn't think it through enough when she wrote it and her idea of skint seems to be a bit off.

But she means well. In general. I think. She just needs a nice man and a hairdresser and then she will be a happier and less devisive twiglet methinks.
I am 25 and want to mother her. I know it wrong. Very wrong. But how can one person be so traumatised daily by life!!!!??

OP posts:
BitOfFun · 09/10/2010 01:37

She should have sent the cheques back though. Or ripped them up.

bethjeff · 09/10/2010 01:40

Apparently they didn't all have addresses with them. She sent as many back as possible though.

Oddly enough I never though of NOT cashing the remaining cheques though.

I think Liz Leman of 30 Rock is based on her. Loosely.

She's a mentalist.
