To think Twilight is the most boring pile of old drivel...

I've ever had the misfortune to read!
I've stuck with it, because everyone loves them, but crikey. I've eaten jam sandwiches with more plot!
Don't get me wrong, I know it's more for teenagers, but dear God, I'm halfway through the third book, and bugger all has happened!

Well I love it . Have seen the films loads, read the books loads and I certainly don't consider myself a complete doughnut for doing so. There is just something about it. I get all the negatives, abusive relationship, the ridiculous name Renesmee, imprinting (though I don't find that particularly creepy as I think it was well explained) and so on, but I still love it. Takes me back to that teenage angst thing and as another poster said, I didn't have particularly happy teenage years so for that I like it.

Not only that I went to see the first film and read the books during a particularly dark period of my life and they really cheered me up actually, total escapism from a really shite situation, making me think if I could enjoy this then I was probably going to enjoy other stuff in life again too, eventually.

I sat down the other night and watched the Twilight film to see what the fuss was about. Haven't read the books and I won't ever read them after having sat through that load of old tosh!

What on EARTH is the point?? The entire romance between Edward and Bella seems based on about three conversations and a lot of lingering "significant" gazing that leaves them both looking constipated most of the time! Robert Pattinson is fine at doing pale and broody but the few moments when he tried to be agressive vampire man were, quite frankly, embarrasing.

And WTF is with the GLITTER?? Vampires are supposed to be sultry, sexy, violent monsters who explode when put in the sun. They DO NOT sparkle....!!!
